i love this thing!
sure, i'm a whm[lvl 38], but it's just so different, people examine me all the time!
sure i'm not getting all the seer's boosts while wearing it, but i'd rather look kool and be noticed and stand out, than wear that stuff for one more minute:P
Looks like Royalty. Feels like Crap...

I've kind of always admired this piece of armor. Solely for its looks though.
Goldsmithing requirment

I seriously doubt that the Goldsmithing cap is 13. I have made a lot of these and my goldsmithing is at 9, I've never failed once, and I've never gotten a single goldsmithing skill up.
Woo!

I love this thing so much... I just got it for my birthday today. Makes me look more like an RDM than the Studded gear, that's for sure. :D

He sells it for around 30k, and it goes for 10k on the Jeuno AH on Cerberus. I'm looking to get one to replace my crappy Centurions armor, Centurion's Scale Mail + RSE boots, pants, gloves =( Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass.)

This item is worth 2500 Guild Points each. The maximum number of points you can get when the guild asks for this item is 5920, so you can turn in a maximum of 3 Gambisons.

If the maximum you can get from this is 5920, then how could you turn in 3? Wouldn't 2 be the max you could turn in? 2500x3 is 7500. :P

Because 2 are only worth 5000 points. ^^ You're then 920 shy of maxing out on Guild Points for the day.

Of course, you're losing out on about 1600 potential guild points, so you lose more money on getting your points.

So it's a question of efficiency vs speed. You spend more to get that final 900 or so, but you get your points more quickly.

These are probably one of the more stylish pieces of equipment you can get at one of the more lower levels, don't you agree?

I agree, ever since I saw this thing I wanted one really bad. I got my Dragoon to 37 last night and finally got one along with the rest of the set. I already got a compliment on the nice gear. I love it because I don't look like everyone else, and people are surprised when they check me and see that I'm a DRG.
correct recipe?

This recipe works splendidly once you get a bit of goldsmithing under yer belt. Without it tho you can expect a success rate of maybe 1/6? With goldsmithing of at least 10 I was getting more like 5/6 success rate tho. Not too shabby an item when it sells for 15k each in Windy AH on Alexander.

Yes, well, not me personally. But I bought all the supplies for a crafter who's around level 59 clothcraft and 16 goldsmithing. He made it without a hitch, too bad it wasn't +1 ; ;
