Yeah......i wish i woulda known about this guy.... lol i was PL'ing a LS friend and i saw this guy....i thoguht "he its just a big ram ill go kill it" i walk towards it and it kicks my butt without even thinking about it! it hit me once for 680 and i was lvl 27 WHM/SMN T_T

I solo this NM, it took me 15 mins and 1 vial elixer +1. But it got the shield and very happy now :)

I seen a WHM/NIN solo it .... also a lvl 67 SMN friend took out BB solo. just about any job lvl 74 with NIN sub can solo it. ^^ i can't wait till i see him out .... gonna try to kill it ><
While killing battering rams I bumped into this guy and /tell a 70 rdm in area that it had popped.
He soloed it pretty easy to about 1/2 hp (I am sure he could have beat it solo) and a level 70+ Pld showed up to help. So, yes, I think a rdm can solo this sucker.

Bloodtear/Steelfleece are very easy. A party of 60's can do this without breaking a sweat. He uses mighty strikes often, but has low attack/defense.

Doesn't really sound like a worthwhile camp... The drop is lvl 45, meaning you already have something better. I don't think very many lvl 45 players would be able to afford the 2,000,000 gil price tag... But who knows?

Most of these items arn't priced for your main. These and others like them sell to people who are leveling their 2nd, 3rd, etc job. I know I like to splurge on +1 gear for my low level jobs. Besides I can always sell it again later.
well if you're lv a 60 pld and you take this down and get the lot, then you could use it for your lv 45 RDM, THF, SAM, WAR, WHM.

As a paladin, I'm really feeling the lack of damage I'm dealing (mainly when soloing). I would love to get this shield even to keep for soloing at higher levels... ATK +12 is hard to ignore... Seriously though guys, 2 million gil?
I very seriously doubt anyone will pay that for it... the only people who have that kind of money are the wones who could hunt and solo this NM for it anyway.

The price reflects it's rarity. Doesn't drop very often at all, and it IS a very good shield.

I saw this mob and ran like hell it spawns in the same place as the batteriong ram. 2,000,000gil sounds like it would be worth the hunt at a higher level :)

Well I was looking for the battering ram with my ranger's widesacn. and i saw this name on the scan and got so happy that I was gonna kill an NM so i rushed to it with my buddy, and got raped by it. I got hit twice for 252 DMG my buddie got hit 1 once he tried to use flee it warp to his location blocking his path an it finished him off with a 300 point critical hit. What I didnt know what that the mob was lvl 63, we were only 31 and 30.
i saw it last night but ls people all went to sleep, i was a lonely level 56 drg and couldn't take it ; ;
H9-I9 (look at provided link). Need a party of 60+'s to take it down.

havent found one yet but i read thats its lvl 59 mob... i really want this sheil it auctions for 2,000,000 in jeuno on my serv :-0

were does the bloodtear spawn???
I'd be surprised if a lvl 60 could take it alone... I was watching a lvl 75 warrior having trouble with it so he called his friends who promptly arrived on choco's to help him.
