Hello this is my first post.^^ I'm fairly new to FFXI and have found that I can barely get away from it. Anyway, on this item, I have crafted roughly 5-6 of these and have not improved my Bonecraft from doing so. My Bonecraft is currently 7 from synthing shell rings. While making this item, only my smithing skill seems to go up. Could someone please explain? Thank you.

{Edit}After a couple more it started increasing my bonecraft. I was just concerned that it might actually be a smithing item because it wasn't increasing my bonecraft after 3-4 more. Sorry^^

How does the +60 delay work? I've never understood this.

when your useing barehand to attack you have a set delay. at level one, I think its 450. +60 delay adds to that. Monks get the job trait called "Martiel Arts" which lowers that delay, Puppetmaster also gets this job trait but they only get level 1. Monks get up to Martial Arts lvl 5 i believe. hope that answers your question ^^

Worth 29 guild points each, 1280 is the max for the day.

That's 45 of these bad boys to get max GP, good thing a vendor sells them in Port for ~112 each (lvl 6 fame)

This was the bonecraft guild item for the day today. I am bonecraft level 31 and smithing 0 and I failed roughly every third attempt.

In the course of synthing them for guild points Smithing rose to level 2 and I still fail about one in three attempts.

I use these just cause I'm mithran, and they have cat in the name XD

But seriously, you will fail quite a bit if you have both at 0... otherwise people would be making things way above their skill level all the time for profit.

You WILL indeed fail a LOT of times at level 0 bonecrafting. I had my Smithing at 2 at the time. After I got to level 1 with Bonecrafting it became easy to make these, however. The materials are as listed above, there's no mistake.
It works

this is the right stuff to use i have made the item before af skill level 0 in both. all becuase you have the skill level doen't mean you can make it 100% of the time.

Skill requirements are correct from what I've tested took me 8 tries to get to level 1, an' I made 2 in a row directly after that. But, I think the Items are incorrect, not sure though.
wrong recipe

the requirement is wrong, look this one up under "cat Bagh nakhs" in the same list... (stated Bone lvl6 and smith lvl6)

I believe the skill requirement for this item to be higher than listed. Attempted to make several of these at 0 Bonecraft and 2 Smithing, 100% failure with many lost components.
