This item is NOT good for catching crayfish. Using a bamboo fishing rod and freshly peeled crayfish as bait in Sarutabaruta all I get is the occasional monster. Nothing at all in Windurst Woods. I don't know why it's on the fishing tab for this item here on allakhazam, because you can't catch crayfish with it.

I think this item becomes trivial at around skill 2. That or at around skill 2, the chance of skill increase diminishes past .1 in 10 tries.

I'm still getting plenty of skill ups past 2. Site says it's trivial at 3. I got at least .1 skill up every synth after I hit 2, and half of them were higher than that. I was synthing on Earthday. Try Darksday too.

Is this good for anything? Does it sell to stores or PCs for more than the ingredients? Looks like just a relatively simple way to increase cooking skills...
