"Gillgiver-awayers"

Why on earth would gillsellers want any noob (with charater in windurst) to be able to make 100k off a stack of items that can be collected from common mobs. Just go's to show how people like to hop on a soap box before fully thinking a topic over. Let me refrase that. Why would somebody selling Gill, be giving it away for a common item that any lvl 5 charater could attaine by fighing crawlers over and over, and over and.... What??? you say that dosen't make any sence? your right, it doesn't, and they (gillsellers) wouldn't. Gillsellers want to sell gill not give it away[think], that would make them "Gillgiverawayers". Over 100k for a sack of silk on witch server? hey how about getting me a wold pass please! silk dropped on my sever was 60k now it's like 30-40k a stack. So i stopped farming it. Nobody likes pay cuts especially when they are 50% ones. If anything gillsellers would want it hard for people to make gill in the game so we would be forced to buy it. The high lvl "uber" items on my server have more than doubled in price since I started playing FFXI and the price of things that are easy to farm buy anyone (noobs too) are worth less than half nothing, which is what they were pretty much worth beffore. If one stopped to think you'd see even farming silk at 100k a stack you would have to farm and sell 150 stacks to afford a lvl 57 ScorpHarness or 40 stacks if you wanted to buy Okotes, or 60 stacks of silk if you wanted a lvl 24 Emp hairpin. So if your thinking of getting those items by farming silk you might need to re-think your thinking even if your selling silk stacks for over 100k each. Or ....you can have fun farming! the same thing. Over...and over...and over...and over... and over...and ov...

THINK! or not.

Most don't but they never realize it.

Mostly because they don't think, they'd rather someone else do that for them.

wow i wish i was on your server! gilsellers are causing our stacks to cost 200k-250k and one cost 20k on asura. The AH spiked huge lately. It gets really hard to buy things now. i say we all get together and destroy all gilsellers!

everyone goes on about gill sellers causing huge rise in costs. they are just selling the items at a high price. it is the silly guy that buys it at that price that keeps the price high.

just because prices went up doesnt mean gil sellers are causing it, synthing silk cloths makes some nice profits, but is far too time consuming to be worthwhile for gil sellers who need high yield profits w/ small time invested in comparison. cloth prices go up with thread prices, as cloth prices increase, the prices of the products the cloth is utilized in also tend to increase. besides, if you cant afford to buy it/ synth it yourself, you might as well quit the guild, because the cost of this is miniscule in comparison.
