That would be a lot of cheese.
not really worthless

Being a guild point item itself adds value to this item on various days. The fact that no known vendors sell it makes it slightly more valuable too. This item is also used to make other Items like Bataquiche which is also a GP item(and goes for 15/stack 5k(?)singles on fenrir AH) just my 2 gil.
Alternate Skill-ups

On Titan, these buggers don't sell for crap. However, Yag Drinks do. Here's a profit chart:

STONE CHEESE:
Dark Crystals (12): 5k gil (AH)
Selbina Milk (12): 1184 gil (Vendor)
Rock Salt (12): 500 gil (AH)

Total Cost Per Stack: ~6684 gil
Selling Prices: ~1.5k gil (AH)
~816 gil (Vendor)

Total Profits: -5814 gil (AH sale)
-5868 gil (Vendor)

And keep in mind, Vendor prices are fame dependent. The following prices are all based upon The San d'Orian AH on Titan Server:

YAGUDO DRINK:
Dark Crystals (12): 5k gil (AH)
Buburimu Grapes: (36): 4k/12=12k (AH)
Yagudo Cherry (12): 2k (AH)

Total Cost Per "Stack" (Referring to 12): ~19k

Selling Prices: 2k/1= 24k total (AH)
~353gil/1= 4236 gil (Vendor)

Total Profits: 5k (AH Sale)
-14764 gil (Vendor Sale)

-------------------------------------

And so... I don't know about you guys, but Yag Drinks is what I'm making. Plus, it's much more fun making a coveted drink over rotten milk. ;)

For each synth of Stone Cheese yields 4. so your just stupid right there for not looking it up...

3 stacks of materials for Stone cheese
5 stacks of materials for Yagudo Drinks

12 slots for 12 synths for Yagudo Drink
4 slots for 12 synths for stone cheese.

So you take up that 7 space of ah for your synths whilei take up half of mine. So, if you wanna make yagudo drinks slowly, sure go ahead. IF you wanna skillup, go Stone cheese and take it like a man.

BTW i make 17k from stonecheese crafting :3
20k for 12 dark crystals
2k for 12 selbina milk
1k for salt
for each stack of rockcheese, i get 10k :D
so by the third stack, i yield. Also, i can take this to 61. So YAY for me, you hav fun trying to make party eggs :3

Dude, poke around this site a bit more. If anyone here is planning on making yag drinks, use the item lookup to find "Buburimu Grapes" and "Yagudo Cherry". There's a regional vendor in each city that will sell these MUCH cheaper than the AH. (Whichever city controls Kolshushu, IIRC, their NPC will have these items in stock). When I bought them from Fiva in Port San D'oria, cherries were about 39 each and grapes were like 184 or something (it might've been slightly cheaper for me because I have max sandy fame). Anyways, it pays to look up the ingredients of what you are cooking, because chances are you can get the materials from an NPC for **MUCH** cheaper than the AH. Alternatively, you could probably buy high demand materials from a regional vendor in one city, and sell for ridiculous prices in another city, in order to make mad profits off lazy and/or unknowledgeable people. But that'd just be evil... right? =p

These are horrible to skill up one. I did 30 synths 8 levels below the cap with advance imagery support and got 0.1 skillups. Then I did 3 synths of mulsim (sp?) and got 0.3

I will never synth this garbage again. And I was under the impression that you were given better skillups if you are further from the cap (since you're risking more breaks)

If you are more than 5 levels below cap, you get much less skill up. If you are exactly 5 levels from cap, you get a ******** of skill up. If you are close to cap you get few skill ups.
Profit ?

Hm,

I must be on the wrong server..... Selling them for a little over 800 gil a stack is a big loss.

Dark crystals are 8K a stack on remora.

So 3 dark crystal ( needed to make a stack of cheese ) would cost about 1965 gil. So even without the other ingredients you lose a K a stack.

I'm synthing this at level 56 on darksday and getting skill-ups about every 3 synths. I'm only succeeding on 1 out of those 3 as well.
I agree with the comment Lothoriel made about getting less skill ups past 50, but you have to admit, any skill on such a cheap product is well worth it!~

Also, I'm in Rabao and i'm selling stacks for 828 to the NPC Brave Wolf. That's about a 2k profit (with a perfect synth everytime) per stack!

I guess you mean it's 11 pieces of ingridients. That means 1 stack minus 1 piece. :P

For those of you confused...

You can sell these to an NPC, just not the cooking guild.

Baehu-Faehu, G-5 in North Windurst Waters, will buy them for approximately 70g each from you (fame dependent). That's 840g a stack which is actually a profit I believe if you get the materials from the proper vendors and synthesis them near perfectly.

Good luck.
guild points

These are worth 68 guild points each (816 a stack). HQ is worth 97 guild points.

I think this is a 61 synth, the skillups apparantly get less frequent at higher levels.
Do this.
# Mar 07 2004 at 12:52 PM Rating: Default
just go to the AH or just drop them.If you don't want to drop them then just save them and mabye sometime you will see a vender
where can i sell?
# Mar 06 2004 at 8:43 PM Rating: Decent
Ok. So i have a mog house full of this stuff. I see people sell it in their bazaars. No one appears to sell these at auction and I cannot find a vendor to sell this back to.

What do you guys do? hold this for the mutton tortilla or drop them?

Is there a vendor that buys/sells these?
Wrong level
# Mar 05 2004 at 1:49 PM Rating: Default
There is no way this is a Lv. 61 synth. I'm Lv. 56 w/ Advanced Imagry and I'm getting .1 skill every 20 synths. I succeed every time too. Only reason I keep trying this is because it's really really cheap to make and you make a profit on it. I'd put this at around Lv. 58, so start synthing this with Adv. Imagry at around 52-53.

I am guessing the reason you are getting such little skill ups is becuase your synthing on darksday? On the same day as the crystal you are using you get less skill ups, but more successes. You should have a ratio of about .1 skill ups per 6 synths, or .1/5. Hope thsi helps ^^

0.1 skillups out of 20 synths is not uncommon after 50... skillups slow down dramatically. I feel lucky if I get 0.5 out of 24 synths. I'm at ~56 cooking now and I'm going to do stone cheese to 60. I'm guessing its going to take 15 stacks of crystals to pull it off.
