I'm sure I'm not the only one to do this, but I got my main character "hero" fame by farming crawlers and mandy's. I was really just getting silk so I could buy new gear. I was also stealing cotton so I could raise my cloth craft. I ended up turning in all the calculi (sp.) and mandy gear. I was a hero before I knew it with very little effort. Now when I farm I just send stuff to my mule and she is rapidly rising now also. So, just go farm and make some money/fame.
It's really worth it!

This goes for about 250K ~ 400K in Fairy @[email protected]

I thought about just questing the scroll and selling it to buy a wind staff with it... but my friend was so intent on me not selling it that he bought me the staff instead

Thanks Atin :)

on kujata, when ver bastko goes in last, the price jacks up to 200k to sometimes 220k but when bastok is 1st/2nd, it sometimes drops to 100k
RE: price
# Feb 28 2006 at 10:11 PM Rating: Decent
This is probably due to the fact that the best way to raise windurst fame is by doing coronets. You can buy these from the bastok music shop; however, you can't buy them then bastok is in last place.
Fun times

I got the answer sheets as level 7 rdm, some random group couldn't find a rdm and just sneaked and invised me continuasly I stood on the circle then hid in a corner. They killed the mobs until there was an answer sheet for all of us. Made 7k for standing on a circle lol. Not too much but pretty good for a level 7 redmage.

ok, giving in necklaces raises norg fame and windy fame, but leans it more towards norg. if u want to raise windy fame alone, you should try handing in cornettes for the mandragora mad quest. also, mage type mobs do have alot of mp, like crabs and worms. Fupepe gives the quest, as u can clearly see in the info about the quest at the top, and also, this is a lvl 3 fame quest. tho this website does give great walkthroughs and alot of info, if u want the lvl of fame needed check it out on cannotlinkto. you CAN do yagudo necklaces to raise windy fame, dont think you have to do cornettes. my friend turned in about 16 necklaces (4 for each time) and got fame lvl 2. anyway, theres everything youll basically need to know.

aspir quest
# Feb 06 2005 at 12:59 PM Rating: Decent
ok so to make this completely clear, I have to do teacher's pet first to do the quest but what level fame exactly do I need? is it like the drain scroll quest where you can just do a repeatable quest for fame or is windy somehow completly different!?
he... damn test answers for quest.

K I pt'd the inner horuto mines with a level 46 whm/23bst... 29war/14rng and me 28blm/13rdm... and we kind of had trouble killing the wendigos for the test answers... I mean, they where easy overall but damn, it's just easier to pay up the 7k in the ah for the damn answers... after 1.5 hours we got only 1 drop...

I saw a great tip the other day somewhere (I forget where). Apparently crabs have their own mp, and a lot of it! I was rather skeptical at first, but then when I was hunting Lizzy at 5AM with a friend I decided to try it out on the crabs nearby. I cast Aspir for 50mp the first time, the second time for 40mp, and the third time for 50mp. I'm not sure, but I think the crab's mp supply very well might be infinite. I used one for quite a while. Killed Lizzy twice in half a hour, no drops. :(

Did the "Teachers Pet" Quest first..
then try to get this one..but did'nt get the quest

i did Yagudo Bead Necklace quets 45 times.. for Utsusemi quest.. got that..but not Aspir Quest.. i'm guessing i should do Yagudo bead quest 25 times more.. might help -.-;
RE: Fame = sux
# Aug 30 2004 at 5:59 AM Rating: Decent
Um, perhaps that's because Yagudo necklaces is for NORG fame, and not windurst? Start handing in sardines, buddy
RE: Fame = sux
# Apr 13 2005 at 3:02 AM Rating: Decent
um... perhaps we should stop being a smartass and realize yag necklaces raise windy fame as well, buddy...

I would have to agree to that, contrary to popular belief, doing the necklaces does seem to raise your Windy fame somewhat. I had only completed a small handful of quests, and the rest were necklaces, and kazham lost item quest, and I had like lvl 3 windy fame.

I was told that the necklace quest lowers windy fame... I don't know about that but I haven't done it for just that reason. If it raises windy fame even in the slightest (or even doesn't lower it) that would be great.
Aspir
# Apr 12 2004 at 7:31 PM Rating: Decent
Aspir is a really good spell for reducing downtime. If you are a high level and have capped Dark skill, u can leech more then half ur MP back. Note: Aspir only works on Mage monsters Which means that a monster that doesnt have its own MP Bar wont give you Any MP. Paired awesome with Drain.
