This thing last i checked was selling for 4 mil on Fairy
This is nice, it'd be really nice for taru pld, but seeing as Galka and Elvaan don't need as much str as a taru we can just use pigeon earrings or other earings to boost our already weak and crappy mp
I really want this for my monk. People were talking about the STR earring (minuet?) at 61, but that earring is rare (as in u can only hold one of them)
i wanna get one of these and a minuet earring :P POWER!
Okay, so let's say you don't have any mana for it to convert to HP. So what? It's still 2 def (JOY!) and 1 STR and 1 VIT. If I got this, I'd get a lvl 1 job and use it, just to look cool. And heck, if your bored, just use an MP food XD (stupid idea I know).
This item is so godly when kiting HNM:s in lvl75 alliances. Rather have 50 more HP then MP even though I'm Galka PLD. The reason for that is that MP is practicly useless in HNM fights for PLD:s, since they will only kite the mob anyway. They just use there few MP:s to Flash the mob and keep running. A wellequiped Galka PLD at lvl 75 can have close to 2k and 70MP or so with this on.
i finally bought this after wanting one for 68 lvls lol spent 950k on it on lakshmi its awesome for spirits within and hercules ring farming also believe it or not its awesome for xp pts to if u make a macro for it for instance i flash and cure 2 or 3 wich uses 50+ mp at the start of the fight then i have a macro to equip my cassie earring bam 50 more life when whm gets around to curing me when i see my mp getting close to the new lower cap i unequip cassie for drone or mercenary earring hope this helps someone a lil its alot of work but we plds know what hard work is ^^
Can't understand how some people say this earing isn't worth it. Yes it is expensive, but it is excellent for melee fighters. I am only a 30 War/ 15 Monk, but with magna equipment, or any other equipment that gives a MP bonuses, it turns what would be useless MP, at least for us melee/tankers, into valuable HP. Between this and the wrestler's earing, which people also talk bad about; mostly due to buying it without researching the latent conditions, I have 70 HPs that I wouldn't have otherwise, 50 from the cassie and 20 from the wrestler's. As an Elvaan War/Monk at level 30 I have 697 HPs. When I use Tender nevarin, I am at 717, not bad at level 30. Plus the stat bonuses starting at level 1 just can't be beat as I start leveling my advanced jobs. So basically I think this ring is well worth it, as long as you don't need MP. I plan to eventually go for Sam/Drg, so I will never need MP and plan to always use this earing, from level 1 into the forseable future.
There are times when pure melees end up with mp. My thf currently has 4 mp from my RSE gloves. If I were to get a flora cotehardie, I would get an additionaly 30 mp. This ring would help to compensate for that useless mp that I get as a side effect of some of my equipment. In this way, the convert mp to hp can be useful to a pure melee.
This thing is great for low level soloing. Put it on, eat a rolanberry pie, and you got 50 extra mp. I did this today and never had to rest. Also, its good for paladins for hard HNM and god fights in which they can easily get one shotted however high their hp is.
I am a tarutaru PLD, but I have no urge whatsoever to get this ring. It would nerf me more than help me, to be honest. 50MP is worth sooo much more than 50HP, no matter race. I mean, like someone stated earlier, 50MP = 2 CureII = 180HP... You do the math. I keep myself healed, by timing my cures in between then hits of the monster, so I am always at almost 99% of my max HP. Screwdriver and spider attacks hasn't been half as dangerous as people make them sound. You just have to know how to time your cures >_<
I am also a Tarutaru Paladin and this is my next big purchase because i have 414 MP at lv.57 and this is more then enough, While Hume or Elvaan Paladins at the same lvl have some where around 200-300 MP...
Personally on my pld and such these types of convert things are mainly useful when I have a lot of one and not much of the other. It will not raise the max like +/- but in the middle of battle will fill up one. Like if hates going everywhere and I really need some MP cuz im almost out but i have a lot of hp i can swap into astrals and cure 3/flash or something...
But in normal combat i'd always be using my verve rings... it'd really be more of an emergancy situation kinda thing for me at least
And with this it seems useless because any job w/ mp will have burned thro it curing themselves by the time they need 50 hp. Also at the level you can afford this the mobs gonna one shot you for way more than 50 hp even if swap to this.
the STR and VIT is nice tho. Could be useful to someone like a mnk or rng or something using RSE that has MP while they have no spells... Personally w/ a dmg dealer class usually ur attack earrings r better or drones for rng... ridiculously expensive for the tiny boost it could give
i guess then if you were a very good macro maker, you could switch off this at no mp and about 100 life, switch to astrals, cure II 2x, switch back then switch again and have 50 mp and around 180 life, repeat for even more. so if this is true, then you could go without resting between battles, and be a more constantly converting RDM at lvl 10. omg godly macro anyone? =P i might sell monster signa and everything else i own to get 2 astrals and this now lol.
if you think this would work and be godly, please rate up ^.^ (2 million gil strategy >.>)
sry ive been thinking aobut it and this is what i now have:
/equip ring1 "Astral Ring" /equip ring1 "Any other kind of ring" /equip ring1 "Astral Ring" /equip ring1 "Any other kind of ring" /equip ring1 "Astral Ring" /equip ring1 "Any other kind of ring" /equip ring1 "Astral Ring" /equip ring1 "Any other kind of ring"
if you did this at 150 HP and 0 mp then you would have 50 HP and 100 MP cure II 2x, repeat for 130 HP and 150 MP. (>O.o)> (ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD!)
im gonna test the conversion ability with a physical earring to prove or disprove this then try my luck at getting an astral. (physical earring converts HP to MP but the same basic rule, and its only 10k) if this works a summoner could solo the entire game quite easily as long as they can keep hate on the summon.
This earring isn't made for paladin, Just because they get MP doesn't mean anything. Paladin need all the MP they can get. What this is used for is mostly tanks like warriors and Ninja's. Yeah, they don't get MP... but when RSE time comes it's pretty useful, a lot of it is for show, though.
