Correct me if im wrong but Yughott Grotto is full of the 3rd teir orcs (Fighter, Serjent, and another one) so why sould they put a lv17 mob in with the lv23-25 orcs?

The mobs in this particular area of Yughott Grotto are primarily tier 2 mobs. There are a few tier 3's towards the top, but there are only 2 or 3. The higher tier mobs are in the second part, which zones to the BC area.

I am on the fairy server, and my Friend Aseus
has defeated 5/7 avatars, he set a record for 4.
He uses a hermit's wand and subs smn with rdm, he says the hermits wands make the avatar fights Much easier

This is the gear he uses when going to fights:
Hermit's Wand, Light Soleas, and a Physical Earring, thses are the most important peices^^

I don't think moving is covered by this. The BLM probably cast the spell, but the server didn't notice the BLM moving until it had finished the cast. I get this effect a lot on my RDM, if I try to interrupt a spell, due to our short cast time.

I'm sorry, but running around is covered:(. My nin at lvl 36 had capped Ninjitsu and -30% spell interuption. I accidently double cast utsusemi after a battle, and started to run around right after I started to cast. Ran around for the full animation and still got the spell off. Had a good laugh about it... but yeah, the only time that has happened is that one time. I have had my ninjitsu capped since lvl 20 (within about 10 battles... or I would go and cast my dmg ninjitsu on TW mobs to get it back up).

uh, explain to me how a nin casted utsusemi, while having this equipped, when nin can't even equip it? stupid nin's, tanking is for... pld's. next time read the entire thing before you go making up stories.

Don't run around, hit your rest button, it is pretty much an instant stop unless you've already begun the animation to finish casting (which for a 35+ RDM could be @ 70% or less).

Wow, lol! 70K for Hermit Wand on Pheonix Sever! Thats too expensve but it's worth it for summoners because when you fight avatars they always try to interrup your spells

this also has a secret (hidden) effect of refresh ! wow! its passive even so its always active!! WOW!!! i love this item!! all my casters will have this!! now that the secret is out, it sells for aroung 70k on Pheonix server!! WOW!!

I did every controlled experiment possible with these and that "refresh" hidden effect is total BS.

I believe BigKillian had it right because I could not get a hidden effect period.

but hey the interuption rate is always nice.

Anyway it is a rumor for SURE.

Erm.. i just accidentally killed it lol, i was runnin out and it popped infront of me so i killed it, didnt kno it was a nm til half wat thru the battle heh.. only a hermit wand.. meh, fun anyways

i didnt feel like healing today as a 39blm/18whm so i decides to go ninja sub... lmao.... les just say with 2 plus 5 int and mnd wands i had a total of 70 int and like 50 mbd i was doing like 280 mbs with aero 2. and alone spells were totaly maxed. did great damage but i kinda stunk having no chance to heal my self if the party became screwd.... oh well it was fun for the 2k it lasted\

I've been toying with the idea of BLM/NIN and dual wield these... -50% interruption? So, I can get Utsutsemi: Ichi off most of the time? Hell Yes!!

my brother tried that out, but with his smn job. He uses smn/nin for his avatar fights. With the 2 hermit wands equipped, he definately summons carbuncle much faster, maybe 3 seconds faster, but you can really tell the difference. it seems to be wroking for him. maybe it might work out for ur blk lol.

Redmages who are sub tanking dont want to be stopped while raising their defences.
Some spells like stoneskin take a long time, and this plus aquaveil might let me raise it even while being pummeled.

Is the -25% spell interruption worth it? I'm sure it's great for soloing, but in party situations ..

some people don't want whm to hit during a party anyway, so -25% interruption is still good when you just sit back and cure the bastards, hehe. a good way to shut the whiners of your party up.
