Open the Menu while playing and highlight the New Linkshell, after choosing a name and desired color, it should be ready for use.

I have been in many ls' and I am finally in one now that I love. The people are always willing to help out and the higher lvl's aren't rude because you are a lower lvl...like I have seen in the past. I think that as long as you have fun, and ignore the stupid people, a ls can be good. now, if there are 90% stupid ppl and you hate the ls, get a different one. My friends are always trying to get me into their ls. I am considering starting a ls...I love spending my time on the game helping people out. Maybe I could start a ls, for low lvls, to help them out and high lvls or medium lvls (like me) can join to help the ppl out. Hmmm...i'm thinking about it. If you are interested in helping out with this ls and are on Ramuh Server send me a /tell wifeofpry. Hope to see ya'll!
Poof Haters~~~!!!!!!!

OK I have learned my lesson Poof is a piece of Orc Fromunda Cheese I had to call a GM on her over 600k. 600k. And after ll the time I spent defending her....
Well, Long story short I got kicked from her 4 person shell and created on of my own: PlaytimeisOver just because she is hated so. Now this isn;t a poof bash LS but, if something off color is said I won't defend her.
Please ask thadrizzle on Fairy for a pearl or sac so far. Stay tooned I want to start a 30+ forum LS that covers Promies up to Salvage.
Thank You and do what you can to make poofs experiance in this game terrible from here on out.

Note to Poof: Sorry <sweets> for months I tried to not have to take this route.

~~~~More To Come~~~~
Poof Haters~~~!!!!!!!
Smiley: banghead Well GMMyroka did nothing..... shw said since the trade was over 10 days they couldn't prove the theft so I am S.O.L. but, I allready got a good LS before she kicked me and hopefully "PlaytimeisOver" will kick in for anyone who want's to show poof she isn't the only one who can make a ranged macro.
***** this and her I just got both Ram Horns to start my BlackBelt quest ans I got a shell to promote. Lookout VanaDiel here I come.
~~We can all learn a valueble lesson from this. Don't let others in the game lessen your enjoyment. People do sad things usually because they are sad and dont know how to ask for help and forgivenes they just lash out @ people. Remember misery loves company~~
It is possible to create a new one if you've dumped the old one. But since it's an EX item, you can only hold one at a time. Hope that helps someone, even if the reply is a bit late. ;)
Looking to join a linkshell on Alexander Server, last one I was in everyone pretty much just split apart or quit playing >_<
One thing I found not to long ago that doesn't sit well with me is when you've been waiting for someone to get back on the LS and then you see the leader run by in Jeuno with a different one and doesn't even say anything. Leadership is key for an LS, I've seen several times where the leader left for a few days and no one would even equip it until he got back.
Jeuno LS Vendor
# Jan 25 2006 at 1:10 PM Rating: Decent
I was pretty sure that there was an LS vendor in Upper Jeuno near the Guiding Stone. Maybe it's Lower Jeuno (it's been a while since I was there) but I've spoken to him/her before. Pretty sure it was a small Mithra.
I realise that this is pretty vague, but I've been levelling BST for soooo long that I've forgotten most of the important details. :D
It's a small Tarutaru girl, actually, and her name is Ratoto. She's in Upper Jeuno right next to the Guide Stone as you described.
She's not a vendor, however, just a little linkshell FAQ.
Good Linkshell Story
# Jul 02 2005 at 10:51 AM Rating: Decent
I have been in two large linkshells since I started playing in December of 2004 . The first one "TheDynasty" was an excelent n00b linkshell . I went from lvl 1 to 39 mnk on this linkshell and got most of my adv jobs. The link leader had some family problems and was not online for over a month and a half. Slowly but surely the members left and found there own linkshells . As a good friend I couldn't just leave him hanging . When he finaly came back online I was on and waiting for him. The only one on and waiting for him lol . I had already joined another linkshell , "KeithsCrusaders" , and invited my old link leader and his bro to join . After about 3 weeks 12 of our old members had joined my new link and most of the others we all have on f lists. I say all this just to remind everyone that without good leadership and events a linkshell no matter how good the ppl in it are , won't last. That being said , I invite anyone whose on Hades Server and interested to join "KeithsCrusaders" . You can run a search on my name and I'm normaly on. We always have good events and most of the linkshell are very active members , that includes my old linkshell leader who holds no hard feelings for his linkshell disolving <as far as I know ;D >
sincerly you neighborhood monk <41mnk/20war>
Is there any way for a linkshell owner to change his own secondary characters' linkpearls into pearlsacks?
I have 3 other characters using the same account, and I'd really like for them to have pearlsacks, not just pearls. It'd make logging to get someone a pearl so much easier since I have a character in each major city.
Have two platforms(2 PC, 2 PS2, or PC and PS2) logged on same account at same time. Friend of mine did that.
A friend of yours was pulling your leg.
You can't log in on two different platforms simultaneously with the same account.
Which, logically speaking, would be stupid of S-E since then multiple people would only need to buy a couple of content IDs and pay one single monthly fee.
All this to say, we tried it anyways... and it doesn't work. Whenever a second person logs on using the same account info, the first person logged on gets dumped from the connection.
RE: Linksacks to mules
# Nov 27 2005 at 12:41 AM Rating: Decent
Actually... there may be a way. What might work is try logging into the char that needs a sack. Next, wait until you diconnect and IMMEDIATELY login as the LS leader. Due to disconnection, your other character's name should be on the linklist. Now you should be able to give them a sack. I've seen my other character's name on the list before.
I tried this, it doesnt work, everyone else can see both chars but it doesnt show the other char to me, does anybody else have any idea how to do this? if only SE had a way to list offline members
All the linkshells i've been a part of have been too consered with mnaking their own characters as powerful as possible, and not playing the game itself, or helping each other. I got tired of looking for help in the game, so i'm starting my own linkshell. anyone interested send a /tell to Teebott or email at jedi_marine@yahoo.com
A Not Quick Guide
Well, I might not be the most knowledgeable of all ppl, but I've been a LS Shell holder for nearly 2 months now and my LS is extremly popular so I figured I’d put my two cents in.
To answer a couple questions:
1) You can buy the Shell from the above-mentioned NPCs, but before to buy one, make sure you have a name and a rough color idea picked out before you buy one. As they mentioned above, you cannot fix any spelling or color mistakes after you buy it so make sure you know what you want. (A little tip, the color is picked via a Red Blue Green color combination and you can use a picture editor to play around with it until you find a combo you like. This is not necessary, but extremely helpful... and don't forget to write down the numbers.) Also, as the ppl above said, you have to unequip any LS pearls/sacks/shells before you can buy one and like a lot of other shops, they can sell out.
*Note - from here on it is assumed that you have your LS Shell equipped
2) To create pearls, go to your Menu and then Linkshell. Next click on your shell and, assuming you have room in your inventory, an option for “Create Pearl” can be highlighted. Simply click and a new pearl appears in your inventory. (This is also the way for any sack holders to create pearls.)
3) To create a sack, you must first give the person a pearl. Then, once the new LS member has it equipped, go back into your Menu/Linkshell. Here, select your shell and select to view all LS Members (LS Holders I think it is called). There, it will show you all the people with your LS equipped and if you select the person you wish to give a sack to, an option “To sack” appears. Click and w00t, a new sack holder. (You can also remove the sack from people in this same manner.)
3) To kick a person, Menu/Linkshell again and select your shell and then view all LS members. If you select the person you want to remove, highlight their name and an option appears to remove them from the LS. (I am not sure on this, but you might have to remove a sack before you can boot someone, but seeing as I have never had to remove anyone for any reason, I am not sure.)
4) To change a LS Message (the message that appears when you first log on to a LS), type “/lsmes NEW_MESSAGE”. You can also view a LS Message at anytime by simply typing “/lsmes” and “lsmes clear” should clear out any old message. (Something to remember, all sack holders can also change the LS Message.)
And now for some tips for the new shell holders.
As I said from the start, I might not know everything, but here are some things I learned as a LS Shell holder.
1) When I started my LS, I thought that it would explode into something that everyone would want to join. I mean, who wouldn’t want to be a member of my shell, but after the first day, I soon realized that most people either have one or don’t want to join one. The best way I have found to recruit ppl is to POLITELY ask them after parting with them. This lets you get a feel for the type of person they are and will also give creditability to your offer.
2) The best LSs have a wide variety of lvls. You need the higher ones to help the lower ones; you need the lower ones for continual growth; and you need the middle ones to do all the fun stuff like BCNMs and NM Hunting. (The higher ones are always welcome to help, and in some cases required, but after a certain point they become more interested in other parts of the game and the appeal of waiting for days at a time to kill a single NM just isn’t there.)
3) Despite what you think, no single person can run a LS. Find some help early on and assign them tasks. Some suggestions would be a person to organize the next LS event or a person to recruit new members. This will take some of the burden off your shoulders and at the same time, insure that you have a couple solid members that aren’t as likely to leave you high and dry with an 8k shell.
4) MAKE SURE TO HAVE AN ACTIVE LS, even if it means all jumping on lvl 1 jobs and attacking worms. You show me a person who is going to stay around on a LS that offers no help and never talks to anyone and I’ll show you the rest of the world that has left one for that very reason. Keep people involved and they will stay with you, even through the rough times.
5) Take into consideration that everything you do, or a LS member does, reflects on YOUR LS. I’m not saying to hound people every waking moment and act like their mothers, but hold them accountable for their actions. Lead by example as they say.
I think that that should be enough for now. I know this turned into a long winded guide, but I hope I gave you some things to think on and if you need some help in Midgard, /t Celdtun and I’ll be happy to help.
PS – Shameless promotion, but we are always looking for new LS members. Go ThunderCatz
Thanks. It makes me feel good to know that other people are able to use this.
Even though I posted this almost 10 months ago, all of my comments are still dead on the money and my LS is as chaotic... I mean active... as ever. Good luck all you future shell holders.
