Just went from 81 to 85 on these tonight.
17 Fails (lightning day/lightsday/Darkday)
1 HQ (4 pie+1)
37 Stacks of NQ pies.
AH sells for about 4k/stack.
Skillcap?
# Aug 17 2005 at 2:02 PM Rating: Decent
I dinged 83 cooking but now cannot seem to get anymore skillups. I have made 4 stacks of pies without a single break. I am questioning the skillcap on these and will probably move onto making marron glace to get past 85.

I just hit 83 cooking tonight and made about 12 stacks of these while lvling. The reason you probably don't see too many of these in the ah is because

A. 8 item recipes are a pain in the **** to round up all the ingreds for.

B. They cap at 85 so they're limited because most ppl at this lvl (me included) make other things to supplement our gil.

C. We usually sell them to friends, LS members, Bazaar ETC.

Suffice to say, after I finish lvling off these, I will most likely not touch this recipe for a while except when LS members want me to make.

The time consuming factor of rrounding up ingreds could be much better spent on items that will net me more gil in less time.

83 cooking omw to 100 wish me luck~

These pies are excellent for RDM, BLM or WHM in BCNM40. I recommend using them along with Melon Juices in BCNM40 if you are attempting it.

Lol, yup~yup, but if you want to spend the extra money, Rolanberry Pies give even more MP, although I think they give one less INT. In fact, if you're really rich, or expecting enough to make up for it, you could even try Rolanberry Pies +1. Those are the ultimate pies for uber-rich mages! ^_^ The only problem besides the price is that they don't stack, but if you're doing BCNM, there'd be lots of opportunities to put your extra stuff in your mog house. : D

This does not reduce STR or AGI. I use these each time I level my WHM and BLM and there are no adjustments to my stats.

I just used one of these and it does indeed change stats as noted in description.

Expensive

On Fairy Server I can't find stacks of these to save my life. 1 pie was going for 1300 at Windy AH, and a stack was 6-7K, but none for sale... weird. I wonder how much Gil it will take to get me to make this pie...

/ahh forget it, too much Gil most likely

yea about that much, that is, if you take your time and do it the most cost effective way.
RE: Expensive
# Aug 07 2005 at 3:34 AM Rating: Decent
I doubt it would take 300k to take it to 60. There are so many parts that you make profits from skilling up, some (mostly biscuits) sell to NPCs for (small) profit. Whenever you make fish bait you make a huge % of profit back, although the actual profit isnt much, but that and other small profit synths still cover any areas you may have lost money on. Unless you just dump everything or sell everything to NPC, it wont cost that much.

That is if you're not lvling on kabobs or something.

What does this cost at AH?
Higher than 84

After I got to 84 I continued to craft these for a while. I got to 84.8 in around 24 synths after reaching 84. Which was the same rate I had from 82 - 84. I plan on crafting something else to get up to Rolanberry pie range though. The pies take a long time to sell on my server and I'm tired of filling my inventory with them :-P

I'm guessing the skill cap is actually around 85 or 86.

Why isn't this more popular?
# Jan 11 2004 at 5:08 PM Rating: Good
This items is EXCELLENT, particularly for casters below 20. Why isn't this item more popular?

I buy a stack of these at a time, and while it can be expensive, the incredible boost it gives to my soloing power (as a Black Mage, at least at my level) is well worth it. Seriously, I can go almost twice as long without resting with these pies. ;)

So, why don't I see these in more demand?

"...and while it can be expensive..."

That is why. Most blm's under 20 are farely poor...like me. :)

+40 MP and +3 INT for around 30 minutes.
not 100% sure, but i believe it decreases str and agi by 1.
