DNC armor?

Since DNC lives and dies on TP accumulation, this might actually work for them. Drain Samba might even make up for the loss in attack damage.

Just a thought.

Could Blue Mage potentially make use of these, since physical Blue Magic relies on accuracy but not attack?
Another Use?

Well, here's another potential use. Though I'm pretty sure in a recent update they stopped people from getting skillups by hitting sleeping monsters for 0 (Ceremonial Dagger skillups gone ; ;), there are still times when hitting for 0 is useful. RDM's en-spells proc about every time the monster is hit, regardless of whether or not damage is done, and they don't give the monster TP. So, if a RDM/NIN or NIN/RDM can consistantly and quickly hit for 0 while keeping shadows up and not letting their opponent get a hit in, no one gains TP, and the monster gets hurt. With a Fencer's Ring, Yellow Health, the best +Enhancing Magic Gear, and capped enhancing, a 75 RDM can do 26 damage per contact with his/her unresisted en-spell. This adds up if you're using low level, low delay weapons (Beestinger + Mercenary's Dagger?) so . . . yeah. something to think about.
Maat

I think the only reason I would ever use these is in my Maat fight. As a monk im gonna have to take some punishment but walking in with these on should soften the blows greatly.
Great skillup bracelets
# Mar 06 2005 at 10:30 PM Rating: Excellent
This gear is ideal for skilling up, especially for black mages and dark knights, who can sleep a mob and use a weapon with very low damage to hit it for 0, allowing them to skill up and not wake it. Also useful for regular skilling up, keeping the mob alive longer while you skill off of it. I don't really see much use in terms of regular exping, unless you're missing a mob often, in which case every extra bit of accuracy you can squeeze out of your melee is invaluable.

hmm.... I'm not sure, but I think with one of the updates recently, they made it so that you can't get TP off a mob when you do 0 damage, and it's possible that you can get skill off it either anymore

You can definitely still skillup while hitting for 0 damage.
Good for THF? No.

No, they aren't really good for TP gain. Thief hits for crap, you say, and that just makes it worse. Hitting for 0 counts for no TP, and that can be a problem with most mobs. Better to just stick with Battle gloves.

The negative attack can be cancelled out by wearing cheap attack gear such as fang earrings and an amemit mantle.

Thus, this is a great item for those jobs that you can't hit for crap with as long as you can cancel out the attack drawback.

I think most people would tend to agree that an extra 2 hits due to accuracy gear is greater than the 5 damage points you might lose on your regular attack.

As is obvious, its still a -18 attack margin no matter what. You stilll lose that 18atk potential.

6 acc is a lot, though. I'd rather try it first before bashing it.
Works for me

I use this with my Barbarians scythe. They cancel each other out. Both of them make +1 accuracy, +7 attack along with the scythes base damage. Works great for me. I'm using this combo in parties till Vassago's scythe (Lvl 58, then I'm switching back to Royal Knight's mufflers.

-18 attack is pretty much a no no.. unless if you're all about the accuracy. life belt + 2 sniper's + accuracy weapon + AF body + peacock charm + those gloves.

in theory, if you can hit more, you're automaticly doing more overall damage.
again, that's for monk.

just got me these for 20k, and have made a whole lot of difference for me in TP gain. i dont have to worry about the -18 attack as i have an assault jerkin, but i do switch to AF gloves again for the fuidama + shark bite.

definately worth the 20k for +6 acc when you think that 2 sniper rings cost 1 mil+. combined with life belt, green beret +1 and bone knife +1 in off hand you're swimming in TP :)

happy times.
Useful to THF?

It's useful to thief as long as you have an equip macro to remove it when about to fuidama. Thf hits for crap anyways, the accuracy is good for getting tp faster so they can SATAVB etc..

Well..

I don't think that Attack trade off would ever be useful for anything but skill up.
