Elshimo Marble  

This was an extremely easy drop for me. My friend told me to try one for the marble while I was leveling axe skill on opo opos. I just used Slug Shot for the kill and got drop. |Too Weak.|

@_@ All these people say that it sells for about 35-45k... Its goin for 150k on mah sever now... Im trying to get the ****** slab for my WHM but noooooo they have to greedy bastards and not drop it. bah...back to keeeeeeling.
Im 0/100 do far.

Man i must have killed like 40 of those things with another RDM friend of mine with no drop, then decide to go switch to 15 THF sub and get 2 in 3 kills -.- so im guessing thats cause of the TH1

0/66 with TH2.

BTW, TH2 always helps. It's just that on things like these (or bee larvae, or ancient papyrus) the drop rate is soooo low to begin with that you won't really notice the difference. For example, you're not going to be able to eyeball the difference between a 0.1% drop and a TH2-increased 0.4% drop.

This is the Worst quest (I have high fame in all nations) I've done so far, besides trying to get Mary's Milk (and that is hard only because of Greedy A$$#o!e Gil Farmers). This drop is way too rare for being an otherwise simple quest.
I just finally got the drop after I spent about 6 hours in all running around finding Ivory Lizards. I'm sure I killed well over 300 Lizzy's before I got it. I started out solo (50RDM/24BLM) and was able to kill 6-8 Lizzy's before having to rest (around 100 kills); a HUGE amount of MP expended. An LS friend (55PLD/27RNG) joined me after I was at it for about 4 hours. He used "wide scan" to locate Lizzy's and we ran around the jungle for a couple of more hours before killing an Ivory Lizard who dropped the slab (at least 200 kills). I didn't look to see the actual location, but it was in the tunnel to Yhoater Jungle that we got the drop.
Noting that some people have been lucky to get the drop quickly, be prepared to spend a LOT of time on this quest. Also make sure you can make quick kills to shorten how long you are at it. I also do not recommend doing a party where others need to complete this quest because of how rare the drop is.

I couldn't find a pt at all with WHM in jungles today. So I went to say hi to a taru DRK friend who switch to DRK to kill some gobs in the 1st jungle entrance since he couldn't find a pt for THF either. Then after a bit talking he said he'd kill lizzards for me to get the marble.

I told him the marble was a pretty rare drop so he said he'll sub THF for TH1.

Went back into jungles, kill a lizzard, then took us about 10 mins to find another lizzard cuz there was another high lvl THF killing them. We found a few more, killed it. On about the 4th kill we got the drop!

We both agreed that he's an extremely lucky taru! And my taru is also lucky because I have a lucky taru friend that got me the marble in less than half hr! ^_^

Okay don't hate me but I was bored to went to jungle to get this item hoping it kill some time before I went to bed. Got the drop in two kills :OP I'm lucky lol

It is not the gil issue, I know it is a rare drop, but I'm still gonna camp it ^^;

I did it tonight while skilling up markmanship on anything that moved. Oddly enough I got it on the 4th lizard I killed. 1/4 seems ridiculously high compared to the unfortunately low drop rates posted here.

I am a 50THF/25NIN. I was soloing by the NE corner of the map. Good luck ^_^

Me and a level 45RDM/BLM hunted Ivory Lizards and White lizards today for 4 hours. We finally got it off an ivory lizard. It's a very rare drop, and the worst part is the price of the scroll. On my server it goes for 35k, versus the easy-to-get dem scroll that goes for 40+k. Unless you are a white mage, I don't suggest doing the quest unless you have a high-level 60+ person and a thief with TH2 (TH3 would be even better ^^).

Ive spend the last two days hunting this.
It must be a very rare drop >_<

I hunted in the gemini falls area for most of last night, 3 lizards a cycle for (by my count) 60 lizards before I gave up.
Still at it (the scrolls worth 50k on my server)

Maybe I'm a newbie, but this item has both circles on the corner of, my understanding is that you can't sell it, is that right?

I would strongly recommend treasure hunter for this. At level 41 whm/20 blm I've killed roughly 3500 xp worth of lizards over the last 5 days (at 18-36xp a pop) in the gemeni falls area and still have not gotten my slab.
