I'm a level 71+1 clothcrafter, and bought all the materials and tried to make this, and apparently it beyond my skill level. I really wish the subcraft would have been listed on there... Waste of money.
Change in crafting requirements
# Mar 20 2006 at 12:21 AM Rating: Decent
I had cloth up to 62 and leather at 36 when I crafted one of these. Though I'd done them before and gotten some cloth points, I actually had a harder time crafting, yet was awarded both cloth and leather points.

After hitting leather 37, I haven't gotten anymore leathercraft points for this item.

My guess: 37 is leather cap.

Some people have already said that field gear is very high lvl clothcraft and leathercraft, if it's any help to Zeino, Vagabond's hose caps at lv 9 clothcraft, so the vagabond set is pretty low lv.

They are only for sale in the AH. They are a crafted item, and somewhat in demand, so they're not cheap.

Ok, I bought all the gear about 3 days ago, I buy 2 stacks of Pickaxes and I head out to Gusgen mines. This was my first time mining and i came back with 9 DarkSteel Ores, 5 Iron Ores, 4 Silver Ores and a bunch of Zinc Ore. Is this normal? Some other ppl I have talked to said they didn't believe me but I swear to you all that I'm NOT lying. I went back the next day and only got 4 Darksteel Ores but i got about 4 Silver Ores and I think like 4 Iron Ore.I'm POSITIVE that the day was Firesday and I'm almost 100% sure that the moon was 67% waning. Does the moon or day have anything to do with your mining results?
When I mined today the moon was at about 30%waning and almost all of my picks broke and I didnt get anything on a lot of them. Any suggestions on Mining locations or tips to help me repeat my first night?

You got very lucky. I take anywhere between 4 and 5 stacks of picks and i return with 1 or 2 gold ore and 4-6 darksteel. 9 darksteel from 2 picks is not the norm.

Mining sounds pointless to me, at least if your goal is darksteel ore. If your at least lvl 45 and have thf to at least 15, I highly recommend you spend your time in korrokola tunnel. Morion worm spawns every 15 minutes and when you get used to finding the "???" its very easy to guess where the next one will be and check for it.

The Pros of Korrokola Tunnel:
1. Morion worm can possibly drop a morion tathlum (45k on cerberus)
2. Morion worm can drop darksteel ore (Usually happens if I don't get a tathlum)
3. Morion worm drops iron ore to trade again to the "???"
4. Inbetween the 15 minutes while waiting, kill gigas for gigas socks, 3k.
5. Kill Jelly's for slime oil
6. Kill Huge Spiders for an occasional, and I stress occasional, Spider Web 7k
7. Also Korrokola tunnel is easy to get to, take a quick airship trip to bastok and walk in
8. Easy to leave when your done and or bored

The Cons of Korrokola Tunnel
1. Many many japanese players might be logged on and hunting also (Depending on the time, so figure out when the best time to go is and go then)
2. You might have better and quicker ways to make more money, but I myself am lvl 45 and I think this is the best way until I lvl up some more.

Hope this helps, happy hunting =)

Worth It.

I decided to buy the whole set, and when I went mining I got 2 darksteel ores, 17 iron ores, 6 zinc, 12 copper and about 2 stacks of pebbles. I lost 15 axes and my total profit is estimated to be around 28K gil and I only put in about 1-2 hours of mining :) Have fun!!!

i am on the BISMARK SEVER ---SIBENT (is the name)

Anyone nice enough with Clothcraft skill level 69 and above can help me synthesize two sets of Worker's? (Worker's Tunica, Worker's Hose, Worker's Gloves, and Worker's Boots!) Thanks in advance for your help
RE: synthesizing
# Aug 25 2004 at 1:30 PM Rating: Decent
Gonna take higher than 69 to get the HQ synth results for Field stuff. Good luck with that.
Need help on synthesizing!

Field vs worker

Ok now here is my next question. Does the worker gear make for even better results than field gear allows or does it simply add more defence. Worker gear costs a bunch more, and it is lvl 15 gear, with better defence but I'm interested in knowing whether it makes the drops even better than with field gear. So if anyone knows if a full set of worker gear helps more than a full set of field gear, in harvest/mine/log anyways, please post. Preferably it would be best if you own both sets in full (I know thats expensive so no flames on that please) for less room for error in the reesults.
#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 24 2004 at 2:13 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) you guys where right the market got flooded on titan these only go for about 8k now the gloves are 5-6k and the boots are 4-5k i hate when **** like this happens /sigh stupid noobs mark **** down all the time and it just gets lower and lower then they ***** and whine cause they cant get money...

Sorry we broke your monopoly.

I mean clearly, you should have been the only one doing this so you could be the richest person on the server.

It's quite unfair that now the offer and demand will balance itself. No truly, I'm not being sarcastic.

Like all crafts the price will stablize when people realize they are losing money selling them. THe price will always fluctuate when there is a surplus of items and also when their are not enough. Just diversify what you sell (as in do more than one craft). Sell when high, buy when low. Hope this helps
It DOES help

Ok first if you are going to buy the tunic its reccomendable to buy the other 2 pieces that affect your cause, whether it be lumber/mine/or harvest. Second, with the whole set on, it helps greatly, at least what i noticed. In mining without this gear out of 24 pickaxes in zehrun mines i got 4 iron and 5 zinc, nothin else worth keeping. With all the field gear for mining out of 24 pickaxes in zehun i got 10 iron, 12 zinc, and 2 darksteel (yes two of em) I accredit the darksteel partially to luck, but as you can see there is a definate bonus in having the gear. In my humble opinion after using the gear it pays for itself.

I'm currently 43 clothcrafting and it looks like the interest is pretty high in these, I know for the special synthsis items (workers tunic) they go for 70k on ragnarok, hopefully with a little luck I can synth a few of these and post some kind of result/profit... time to get to work^^

As far as i can tell this does not help for logging at all. After wearing this I haven't gotten the rare log in this area and I've hit over 100 trees.
get it
# Feb 03 2004 at 12:05 AM Rating: Decent
i bought the whole outfit with money earned purely from logging wood. after i got the whole suit i noticed a pretty dramatic difference.

-i started logging more of the better logs from the areas, instead of multiple arrowwood logs >=(

-i did break less hatchets, but i believe that may have something to do with your craft level in some way. and yes, i also believe it may have absolutely nothing to do with anything. hatchets and pickaxed just break. no matter what you wear or what lvl your at.

-another thing that happened more often was mulitple logging chances. as in- i would chop the point, get a log, but still be able to chop at it for perhaps 3 more logs.

from everything i've witnessed and been through, i must definetly recommend it. i saw a difference. in my logging and in my amount of gil.
a waste?

Can someone please give me some reassurance...

I just dropped 45k today on a whole suit for mining. I had 5 pickaxes on me, and I went to Zehrun. With 5 pickaxes I got 2 Iron, 2 Zinc and 1 Copper... and all 5 were broken!!!

Was this just terrible luck or is the gear worthless???

Field tunica and the Worker's tunica
# Jan 26 2004 at 1:38 PM Rating: Decent
I've been trying to get this set for a while. All I know is the worker's tunica, gloves, boots, and hose are better having higher defense but it seems that no one ever sells these at the Auction house. I will get these eventually and when I do I will try to help as many to get this a well seeing how rare it is.
# Jan 05 2004 at 7:39 PM Rating: Default
Once people get the recipe, I guess the market for these items will be flooded and the price will drop. happens everytime. i think ill just wait til the flood so i can buy them at 3k, ^^ rofl

I think this may be a stupid question, but does this improve harvesting plants, as in gardening, or just the harvesting when using a sickle?
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 28 2004 at 1:09 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) yes, probably a stupid question
RE: Well...
# Jan 29 2004 at 1:23 PM Rating: Excellent

and to actually answer the question, it improves harvsting with a sickle. gardening is another story
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 06 2004 at 11:23 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I agree. Tho I admit I wont be revealing the recipes for the other items, the only reason I posted this one was because the person was being rude. If yall want the recipe, just have to do what I did. Read auction history and start ssending /tells. I apologize for this but I dont want this stuff to hit rock bottom value like the vagabonds gear did. Though it may not be too bad since the lvls are extremely high and are cross linked with leathercraft. Cause people are just too stupid to keep the market value high enough. I will also say that they cant go too low because the cost of meterials is rather absurd. But whatever. Everytime I've shared something or information on other things I've discovered the price either gets screwed or stuff thats never been hunted is camped like a *****, so Im done with that. Sorry guys.
leathercraft vs clothcraft

My understanding is the full set is done with both clothcraft AND leathercraft. The boots and gloves are both done with 60+ leathercraft and the tunic is 70 clothcraft while the pants are 60 clothcraft. So its 2 clothcraft and 2 leathercraft...dang thats gonna suck to raise. I still dont have the recipies though but im pretty sure those are the crtafts for each piece needed. Now its basically research on recipies, recipies, RECIPIES. If i learn anything definate i will post back. Wish me luch ;)

I was told that these could be bought from a vendor in Jeuno. Is this fact or total BS?
RE: Vendor
# Jan 03 2004 at 3:48 PM Rating: Default
I think its BS, but ill look, im in jeuno now. Oh and I ahve yet to confirm if this is a lvl 60 clothcraft or leathercraft, because the field boots are a lvl 50 LEATHERCRAFT.. I will continue my research on these.

Lienna on Shiva, say hi sometime ^.^
Here it is I think
# Jan 02 2004 at 4:28 AM Rating: Default
Ok I saw some japanese crafting these like crazy in cloth guild today so I watched him for a while and asked a few questions.. all he told me was its a lvl 60 skill to make.
But from watching his mistakes Ive come up with
1x Earth Crystal
1x Wool Cloth
1x Wool Thread
1x Ram Leather
1x Sheep Leather

Thats after watching around 4 failures inbetween 10 succesful crafts or so. I obviously cant try it but someone whos got this skill lvl test it out. Ya thats expensive, most pieces are 1-2k each but sure beats 30-45k at AH ;)

I dont know about any of the other gear yet tho. Will definately keep watch

Lienna on Shiva, say hi once in a while :)

I remember seeing someone was synthesizing it. It has to do with something wool. Some guy was making alot. And boobed sometimes.
