I went to mine at bastok and got one darksteel ore within one trip then I went to some different mines after buying them and I got 3 platinum ores that sell for 15-20k per ore... they work like magic!

Does anyone know for sure if the worker gear improvements to logging, mining, and harvesting better than the field gear, or am I just paying more gil for extra defence?

Mature title there buddy. Also, you are incorrect on the required level caps. 2nd Rank for Gloves and Boots, 4th Rank for Tunic and Hose. (Amatuer does not count as a rank level.)
Ok i give. Ive seen em at AH already but I cant afford the prices. So can someone tell me how to obtain the field gear without using AH. Are they synthesized?? if so whats the recipie. Are they a result of a quest, if so how do ya do it. Are they dropped by a monster. If so what monster, where, and how do you spawn it (if applicable) and what lvl is it. I've tried to ask the people who sell them over and over at AH but most are never online and of the 2 that I actually did talk to neither would tell me. In fact one was very rude to me about it, and I cant repeat what he said on these boards. If anyone has any information and is a decent soul please post away as I know more than a few people are wondering how to get the field gear. Thanks.

1. these are made by a leathercrafter.
2. if you want someone to make these for you find someone about 30 lvl's above the lvl cap (so around 63ish leathercraft)
3. if you are giving them the materials and just going to pay them a fee make sure you have enough materials for 4-6 of them cause the HQ version isnt' a 100% thing.
GL getting these I wonder myself if they help mining alot.

I'm being told its 31 levels over cap (so 64cloth) for tier 2 (20-25%chance at making these)
Also for someone 51+ levels (tier 3) over cap (lvl 84cloth) it is a 40% chance to HQ them.
