Will this item also extend the time you get on your own raised chocobo? Or does this only work on rented ones?

CC sub-craft skill cap...
# May 15 2005 at 6:58 PM Rating: Good
well, as far as i can tell, the sub craft Clothcraft needs to be about 25+ for steady results. as you can see my Leathercraft is plenty high enough, and when i got CC to 22, i decided to try making these, cause theyre decent profit. my CC went from 22 - 23 in 11 synths (about 5 of which were failures x.x) so as far as i can tell, the cap for CC for this recipe is closer to 25 or 26. Mysterytour has it listed as 22, but unless youre well off enough and dont mind breaking and losing materials, get CC a little higher than they suggest.
i came to this realization cause when i broke, i still got skillups, and was 22 CC at the time, so it had to be within 5 lvls of the cap. oh, and as another point, even at 23 CC, i still got 0.2 skillups in 3 synths with Advanced Synth Support from the Clothcraft guild, so hopefully that helps anyone else who might be trying to ballpark the CC cap.

ps. sorry for not using caps... its one of my bad habits >.> hope you could make everything out easily enough~

The cap is definately above 26 but not too far from it as I was crafting these today with a lvl 26 Clothcraft sub and was getting decent skillups and no breaks.
Just a funny =P

Quick little giggle for you. If you try to get a chocobo at lvl 15-19, they will say something about you not being able to ride as long as you would if you were lvl 20+ and equipment to further your ride limit will not apply. Well, that being said, why shouldn't the equipment lvl be 20 when the equipment will actually work?

Appearance. Many players are into the aesthetics of the gear.
above 21 for cloth
# Apr 18 2005 at 5:47 PM Rating: Good
the cloth sub needs to be above 21 a LS member is only 21 cloth sub and he got skill up aswell as a brake so your looking at 26 at the most as you only get skill up if you are 5 lvl's under cap or less ^^

Most likely the Clothcraft component of the recipe held you back. I've had a hard time myself finding people with both skills up to make me one of these. >.<

Okay I'm wondering something and this is a question for someone who has ridden a chocobo. But I'm wondering how long can you ride a chocobo for any way? One guy said 5 minutes with out gear anouther said 1 hour with out gear so what is it?

Surprised no one replied to that...its an average of 1 minute per level. (e.g. a level 40 will have about 40 minutes of riding time).

Is this sure? I'm level 21 and got about 30 minutes' time riding without any "extra time" gear. Does the sub add too?

Just a tip, if you own a bazaar and like to camp the town. Try to look cool while you do it. Clothes that stand out and an /anon name make you more noticable. Chocobo Jack Coat + Martial Slacks = Very Cool clothing, try it sometime.

Are these (and the other Chocobo gear) craftable, like the Vagabond or Fishing gear? Anyone have a recipe guide for it?
