i have a vagabond tunic. if you check my character you see im not into much stats yet. but for its price the vagabond/nomad set is great. even if you worry about the defense, if you use it when your healing or in between battles, its well worth it. its good for some of you people like drk's that heal for some mp once in awhile, but your hp isnt usually full because your not priority in heals. But best of all.. the thing looks good and i think thats the best gear til lvl 7 for sure. bronze isnt worth the defense, its cheap but ugly and not too useful. for only a handful of gil (to me) you can get 1 or 2 vagabond clothes. if you like bronze, then have vagabond hose and gloves and the set looks rad. add in a travelers hat, and your set. field gear looks rad too to level in, while everyone gots starting gear or bronze/robes.
vs doublet

it has more def than the doublet and has a stat boost.. why does no one wear it? I guess I like that no one does though.. I'm usually the only guy walking around in orange

Heh I love the look of this thing it rocks! The +1 to HP while healing is pretty useful too. I don't see why no one wears it, I can understand the other parts of the item but this is just as cool in terms of looks as the doublet and it's better too!

I wear this body armor plus the Nomad's Hose... it's cheaper than the gear for a WHM or a BLM at level 20 and is either the same or only slightly less in defense. I plan on wearing this until 23, when (unfortunately) the Cotton Doublet will be a significantly better defense item (12 vs. 17).

i think that most people think "plus 1 hp regen? that sucks" when what they should be thinking is "when im soloing, this armor is awesome!" im currently a lvl15 thf, and love this armor... i tend to hold off resting when soloing till at least down by 100hp, and this armor effectively cuts my downtime when healing by a lot at that point... the longer you rest, the more it heals... i liked it enough that i also bought the pants ^_^

I don't think that most people realize that the price is worth it.

I have a Nomad's Tunica up for auction in Windurst (Lvl 15, Def 12, +1 to HP when healing) and this is the second or third time it's been up for auction. Are the Nomad's gear (tunica, hose, gloves, boots) considered useless and not appealing for some reason? That's strange because when I was L15 and levelling in the Dunes, this worked out really well for me. (And was pretty distinctive, too.)
