Nomad: 70k Nomad +1: 890k Traveller: 70k THIS IS A JOKE! I was making my money by camping the NM and selling the mantles, but now, it's no more worth the time. (Prices of Gilgamesh server)
Was looking for one of these the other day for 43 THF... Auction House on Lakshmi, was about 150k, and i happened to luck out and stumble upon one of those "Garage Sale" Bazaars, and got one for 40k. Its really worth the money, eva and agi... well, for THF anyway :3
Traveler's Mantle jumped to 250K on Garuda, so I bought like 5 of these to make some quick gil while they were still low. Good idea too. Total profit: 300K. lol

the servers arent located in Japan, they are located in california, why do you think they always have maintanence on our time and not theirs? it would be like 4am for them when it takes place for us.
I'm sure you're referring to the HQ version. Nomad's Mantle costs around the same price as the Traveler's Mantle from which it is made: ~75k on Valefor.
Does anyone know the minimum craft lvl needed for the syn to be in high success rate? i've had traveler's from my camp glory forever now... don't dare try to upgrade it... if it failed... another 3 RL day of camp work for me, and I for one will not do that again... last time i tried, the JP voke it at the same time as i voke (and i have many eyewitness saw it happened,) but his voke landed and mine didn't.... talk about angry until your face turn blue...
Just so you know, the JP playesrs have a 1/2 second advatage over the american payers due to where the serrvers are located. That is why his voke got off before yours did.
This is a fact. Japanese players have a split second advatage over us. Fortuneately they are also mostly bots so Claiming over them now isn't that hard. Besides, if you want to claim don't try when Japan is online. Or wiat for their dinner time. Another thing I would like to mention is Holy. Unlike Provoke, ou can start casting the second it begins to appear and it will go off right as it solidifies. Provoke cant be used as it is fading in because of the absolute zero "cast" time. ITs un"hittable" until it fades al the way in but it IS targetable.
No, this is true. I've seen it myself. I was camping the Orcish Barricader a while ago, patiently waiting for it to appear. A Japanese player suddenly appeared beside me (logged in) and cast Dia into thin air. Only when the spell landed did I see the Barricader slowly fade into view, claimed before it even had appeared on the screen for me.
How can someone target something before it appears? Simple. They see it before you do. But his timing was very suspect and to this day I can't understand it. He logged about 2 seconds before it spawned, facing it, casting on it...
I'm pretty sure that the speed of the internet isn't based on the location of the servers as much as you're thinking, but of the speed of your connection... They could have just had the time of last death knowen to them, and just log on and start checking the area it spawns at everytime for the monster. The name appears before the image of the monster so they probably just cast on it first =o Besides, dia is faster than provoke, and if they have the distance right they don't need to move closer.
As for the Nomad's Mantle, I used this from level 24 all the way up to 61 when I replaced it with Amemet's Mantle. The extra agility and evasion are great for what's available in the back slot. If I didn't want the extra 10 ranged attack, I'd still be wearing the Nomad's.
Not true. I've been camping Spook for a few days now. If this were actually the case there could be no way that I've been able to grab Spook as often as I have before the JP players, that are often there, could. In the case of the Barricader, as has been said, they spawn on a pretty reliable 1 hr timer. All the WHM had to do was log in a few seconds before the timer was up and immediately begin spamming Dia on a /targetnpc macro until the Barricader spawned. It's a common strategy.
Barricader and Wallbreacher are on 1 hour spawn clocks. So jp whms log on every hour cast dia at nothing and claim them before they spawn, then smile at you and log off. And people wonder why jp and na players don't get along.
This is not the nomad stuff like the tunic which is +1 versions of the vagabond stuff. This is crafted out of the Traveler's Mantle (Just like Winged Boots are made out of Leaping lizzy's boots.)
Some high level synthisized 2 of them and put them on the AH and I bought one. Then when I went to San doria and checked the Price History for Traveller's Mantle...the guy who was synthisizing Nomad Mantles in front of me was the guy who had bought all the Traveler's Mantles in San Doria.
