one poster mentioned they were sold at helborts blades, which i checked and confirmed they were not. However, i know some items have certain conditions that must be met for them to be sold. So, i waited for san d'oria to be first and checked again. Still no arrows. So, knowing what i had to do for stoneskin(wait for windy to be in first AND be from windy), i asked a new player from sandoria to check for me. Finally, i could get my arrows ^^ The player i asked was lvl 7 no subjob so im assuming rank 1 or 2 fame maximum, they were 18g each for him.
the availability at npcs changes just like wooden arrows and other items based on region control of countries, im not sure which region gives the npcs this item tho><
For the record, Goldsmithing really isn't required. At the time, I had level 37 woodworking and level 1 goldsmithing, and I never had any more then the usual random fail that every synther suffers. I also HQ2'd and 3'd a few times. On top of that, I received no skill-ups to goldsmithing. ATM goldsmithing is still level 1, woodworking 52.
-------------------------------------------- Leaving the above message to show how much I know how to pay attention >< I didn't bother to notice there was a different recipe for silver arrows (didn't even know there was one) using silver ingots, so please disregard my post. ^^;;
I do actually think that this requires goldsmithing, however, it is a goldsmithing level of 0. I just synthed a whole stack of these at 79+1 woodworking without a single hq on darksday. Now it very well could be bad luck but i think that if it required a goldsmithing level of 0 then that would explain it better because i had all the requirements to make it but since my goldsmithing was not to par (it's at 0) i had an extremely bad chance of hq'ing.
The arrows themselves do NOT require any form of goldsmithing. Same applies to beetle arrows, horn arrows, demon arrows. Basically nearly all arrows only require WW to make.
Just a quick note. I did these last night for skill ups and here are my results.
4k a Stack of Ash Lumber off Sandy AH 700 a Stack of Yadugo Fletchings off Windy AH 7k a Stack of Silver Arrowheads off Bastok AH Earth Crystals free... I had some clusters waiting to be used
4 Stacks of each... 46.8k in Supplies
Synthed on Darkday.
Results: 48 Possible successes (1584 Arrows assuming no HQs) 33 Successful Synths (1089 Arrows) 0 HQ Synths 15 Breaks +3.5 points of skill
They are selling at 2k a stack (Windy AH) at the moment on Midgar meaning I lost 24.8k not counting AH fee.

Note: I checked all the AHs before buying the supplies or selling the arrows so these prices are the best I could find.
I believe that the level posted to make silver arrows is incorrect. I am only 24 in wood and I was making them all night(and selling them for a tidy sum I might add). Unless there is someting I missed, you dont have to be level 30. Thanks, Wolfen Of Sandy
The skill level represents the level at which you can no longer skill up your crafting. So you can level your woodworking skills up on these until level 30. It is possible to make them at a much lower level though.
You can purchase them from the guild its just uncommon. I think the only way for them to sell them is if it is or was recently the wanted item for Guild Points
Is this what a level 22 woodworker should level up with? im not fully sure if the 30 means cant lvl past that or if thats the minimum lvl required please help me out.
This is a great item to get your woodworking skill up at that level. I stopped synthing this item at level 30. And yes, level 30 means you cant level past 30 synthing this item. Just make sure you have advanced support at level 22. When you hit level 25 then go to the guy cutting the log for image support till you hit about 27.5-28. Then synth them with no support at all. That is the best method to get your skill up with this item at your level.
A few months late on this (for all i know you don't even play anymore), but advice to all who may read this: make sure you take the test for the other craft. Being stopped at 20 with no skill-ups sounds like you may have skipped it.
in helberts blades with lvl 3 fame..theyre are very nice arrows for someone who just hit 24..buy a wrapped bow and some silver arrows and you'll be doin some nice damage
sorry about the previous one...first time posting something here. ^^"
I was currious if anyone out there knew how to make the different types of Fletchings and what level skills you need (i.e. Yagudo fletchings, bird fletchings, ect.).
and also if anyone out there knew how to make other arrows not shown in the website (that I can't find so far ^^"). Like Beetle arrow, scorpoin arrow, ect.

Posted:Nov 24 2003 at 6:20 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) There are 2-3 different ways to make each type of arrows, this is just one recipe. Another recipe is 1x Silver arrowhead, 1x Yagudo Fletchings, 1x Arrowwood Lumber....I think. From my experience all arrow recipes give you 33 arrows, if you skills are high you can get 66 or 99, this is the equivalent of making +1 or +2 items.
Does making this recipe with 1 wind, Arrowwood Lumber, silver Ingot, and 2 Yagudo Feathers only yeild you 1 arrow? And do you have to make 99 of these using 99 wind crystals to make a stack?
