It was sad that there was three scrolls at the AH in Jueno Pandemonium Server and I couldn't buy it for 25k, they wanted 30k. I think thats severely messed up because my veteran friend said its used to be 500. A rdm who just started playing can't afford this spell.
you can afford it easily... fishing, or any other guild... sheapleather goes for 25k a stack and moat carp go for 3-5k a stack... moat carp is the way to go... takes some time but thats only 7 stacks max... Titan server anyway
I start every battle with a chain of paralyze, slow, and gravity. It's honestly amazing the difference gravity makes between both running (say from your favorite Goblin Smithy add) and in combat. I don't know why more RDMs don't have it.
We had 3 drop in about 3 hours in Outer Horutoto from ghouls. 4 person group, lvl 21/10s. The ghouls also dropped 3-4 Magicked Skulls. Go to the tower near Giddeus and through the cracked wall.
This spell can be used in "uh oh, let's zone" situations, but too many players do not know how it works. In addition to lowering the target's evasion, this decreases the target's movement speed -- decreases it to the point that players can out run the target. Therefore, when your RDM casts Gravity on something in a "let's zone" emergency, do not sacrifice yourself, trade Provoke aggro all the way to the zone, or use Perfect Dodge or Invincible or Warp or whatever -- just run.
Yes, Sleep can be used in these situations as well, and Sleep can also be used to handle an add when you do not wish to abandon the fight. But Gravity won't break if someone mistakenly gets in another hit (which can happen in a chaotic emergency if communication be poor), and besides, Gravity like other non-dot enfeebles won't break Sleep anyway, so there is no harm in using it.
Of course, your RDM will also cast this for the evasion and movement effects during regular, non-emergency battles as well.
you don't need to voke hate or warp, with gravity the mob can hardly run to the mages in a battle, let alone chase you to zone. onc eyou get a certain distance it loses interest anyway. casting this can help when pulling too so you have more time to cast things like silence and dispel (at later levels) but don't count on chains :P
