these CANT be dual wielded b/c it is a rare item. Also, how do you get 18 when 8 and 8 is 16? Not being mean or anything, just pointing out the facts.

No, You can't dual wield. The item is Rare, Which means there is a limit ok 1 Kraken Club per person.

So you would like to get your hands on this thing? There are two ways of going about it. One you can buy it, lol or two you can camp Lord of Onzozo. Since I last heard of this club selling for 120+ MIL on Unicorn I would guess most of you would like to Hunt him. Here is how it works. First if you missed it (and there is a link above) this is dropped of Lord of Onzozo, he spawns in Labyrinth of Onzozo, at POS (H-8). He does have a place holder, and it is the local area Krakens. When I say local I mean the ones in the H-8 area. He has a 22-24 hour spawn period, and has imo the worst drop rate in the game just under the Thief's Knife. (If you know anything about Thief's Knife you know this is not going to be fun) Then again who is to say you wont get lucky. Now for set up. I have seen 75RDM/NIN's solo, but you need to understand not any RDM/NIN can solo this guy. He loves to use wateraga III, and of course any aga spell will void out your shadows. He hits fast and for the most part you will not be able to re-buff without being interupted. I have some very good 75RDM friends who have tried and failed. Matter of fact I only know one 75RDM who has soloed him, and IDK if he really soloed, he might be an IGE fan. . . As for tanking THF/NIN or NIN/WAR would be your best option with evasion + gear. Even tho he can erase shadows easy, and hits fast his Acc. really sucks. I have seen a THF tank him about 5 times and the only DMG he took was from Wateraga, and his TP AOE. I would suggest you bring a SMN/WHM with you as main healer, as StoneSkinaga (or whatever its called) is very nice when you are trying to recover shadows. Also a BRD/WHM is nice for double Mambo. With this said I would say you can safely Trio him with THF/NIN, SMN/WHM, and BRD/WHM. Altho I have duoed him with my 75THF/NIN friend before, and I am a 75BLM/WHM. I hope this helps everyone out there. I wish you all luck with your hunting!

last four sold were 200 300 300 300 million respectively, three of which sold to the same person....sounds fishy? i think so.
All Kclub haters are jealous and/or don't have a job that can use it effectivly.

IMO, I dont think anything in game is worth so much gil. I wouldnt have one if i had to pay more than 20mil to get it. Its so much more rewarding to say, "I camped my club." .. It was prolly the worst 6mo's of my life >.>; If the damn rmt's tank hadn't died i prolly wouldnt even have one atm. I'm just a lucky guy with great ls friends {/kneel}..
I wish the drop was a lil' higher and it would spawn more often. I'd love for more people to have it and it not be such a big deal >.>; Its great for farming, skill ups, and an awesome tp wpn. I wouldnt suggest using it in dynamis, against certain HNM/NM/xp mobs, etc. As most kno it gives crazy TP to the mob ur fighting but that dont matter if its already dead.lmao!! I know this was from a bit back but who care show u get the item as long as you get it. Now i am not saying RMT because whoever does that congrats for spending real money on in game money. You pay to play the game and make gil yourself fools. Also person above me who cares how u get the item. A single person cannot hold 100M gil. it stops at 99,999,999. if you have more, you're probably cheating. RMT has boned most servers economies.If you wear enough +STR and +Attack, Kraken club is still low damage but nobody gets TP for 0 damage. Neither you or the mob! There is a cap on +accuracy from equipment. Any more than +40 has n effect. I see a lot of posts on this criticising others, and yet they have no idea themselves. actualy uour wrong, gil does not cap, but the max gil shown is 999,999,999. you can go over this but but it wont tell you how much over 999,999,999 gil you have. know someone in game with cloth craft 100+3 and multiple other crafts that has done this.

Was in a pt with a JP NIN who used this as his sub weapon. It looked pretty cool except without berzerk on he hit the crap 2-8 times for 0 and with berzerk it only 8 per hit.
I still pulled hate off him a lot and hitting something for 0 sadly only gives the mob tp.
I think it would be in better hands of a pld who has the best club skill ironicly. But I don't think it's worth over 100 to 200 million gil.
Other than the shear difficulty of getting it at least. I'm sure it's a pain in the butt to get cause of the compation and the fight got to be hell.

yeah, basically no matter what don't give things to anyone if you don't want them lost. I've never done it.
Edit: I finish reading all the tell stuff. And the forum thing. I still don't understand why anyone would lend a K club if they loan something out and didn't get that back first. I guess over my life before this game I been screwed so many times. This wouldn't suprise me.

Yeah, that's way messed up. Unfortunate GM's can't step in during those sort of situations. To know there are people who could violate trust like that is sickening to me.
As for myself, I wouldn't ever loan out stuff that wasn't mine in the first place, but everyone makes mistakes, and some hurt more than others.

A Galka DRK/NIN decked out with +haste and HP (yes HP) gear utterly ******* this thing in the off hand with a Ridil in the main with Soul Eater and Blood Weapon up and AF helm to jack Soul Eater up to 12% HP.
Let's say that said galka is 75/37 with approx 1800 HP (2k is possible I'm sure but I want to be a tad more realistic.)
12% of 1800 HP is 216. That's 216 damage added for every hit that lands in direct damage, as I believe (been a while since I touched Soul Eater) that Soul Eater ignores def. And even if it doesn't, that's a crapload of DoT.
I defy you to find anything that can trump this.

It would destroy the Galka mnk/drk as well since he doesn't have the drk's 2-hour ability to stay alive after 10 hits with souleater. I think being drk main was the whole point of the OP.

Ya you are so right adding souleater onto this would be a bad idea if u dont stack it with blood weapon. Unless your idea is to die. I'm a Drk71/Thf35 with help my souleater does 200+ dmg and takes about 1/6 of my hp away. Even tho a galkan the same lvl would more then likey have a good 300+ hp on me hes not going to last much longer if he doesnt stack Drks 2hr on this weapon

meh well, this weapon is good but cmon, look at it 2-8 times. a monster gets atleast around 7-9 tp a hit, imagine using this on god or an hnm, even a normal monster. litteraly and even if you did have this look at its damage ... its as good as a lvl 9 sword with dmg, and to the fact that it adds up mg by 2-8 hit OCAISONALLY, it makes it WORSE because it gives the opnoent TP. Any other decent weapon would do the exact same dmg with les TP gain. Think about it. also what if you dont hit it all the time for 2-8 times in 1 hit? would it be worth hitting the monster once for the dmg a lvl 9 sword would do and have to wait the same delay of 264. its not worth it really. if you want to have something thats worth your time and gil, get a mercurial weapon or a joyeuse.

lol you guys are crazy. This club pwn's all. I'll admit there are some mobs you dont want to be giving tp to: (gods/hnm/etc.) but even for xping or just farming its sweet. Considering the person using it has a decent/good club skill lvl its great. I dont think you should knock it unless you've actually tried one. Having the capability of spaming ws's is a great asset both for keeping hate as a tank and or doing damage. The way it works is when you swing the first time you get the full tp of how ever many times the club is going to hit for. So: 1swing = random number (btwn 2-8). You will see the to gain right away and from what i remember cause im not at my ps2 atm is that its like btwn 10-40tp (usually 30/40tp a swing) with a delay of only 264 after 3/4 swings your rdy to unload. The trick is to have this in your off hand (sub) and equip the highest damage weapon you can find for your main.
For me as a taru 75whm with /nin its opened a whole new door to soloing **** ><. not to mention whm burns. yea thats right whm burns! 4whm/nin's 1brd 1rdm. ballad 2, minuet 4, & refresh. getting 5mp a tick (with reverend equiped or 6mp with w/e mp refresh body equipment) is sweet. The group i made came to KRT & were getting chain 5/6. lol about 12k in the 1 1/2 hours we were there which is better than a regular xp party to say the least. I was tanking most of the time hitting for 15-20 with the kraken club & maybe 60something with the purgatory mace. Except when one of our party members pulled hate with his hexastrike, damn you elvans and your str! /cheer nostrodamus. lol XD ..

Yeah, this is NOT a good wpn for Rngs, Thfs, Sams, Drgs, or Nins. When you see ppl wandering around Jeuno wearing it, it's a status symbol, or they use it to farm.
Here's why: 1 skill level = 1 attack/1 accu. These jobs are tied for the LOWEST club skill caps in the game, E cap, 200 skill at 75.
Highest 3 skill caps are: Pld(A-), then Whm(B+), then War(B-)
War is B- cap in clubs, we are also B cap in swords (lots of wars offhand Joyuse and, if they're lucky, Ridill for TP).
I've seen a War/Nin offhanding this for TP, War's actually have enough skill to HIT exp mobs with it (and do more than 0 dmg). If we fully merit a B cap skill it still won't be as good as an A skill.
Sure, other jobs could wear an extra 50 accuracy gear, and then hit things for 0 because you lost a ton of attack, can you say gimped dmg?
Seeing that it's only really viable for Plds or Wars in exp, I think it's way overpriced/overrated.

you really don't get it, do you?...get in a pt with a good nin/war dual weilding this and anything else and covered in speed gear with haste and you'll understand. our nin tank was WS'ing every 10-15 seconds and SC'ing with the 3 other dmg dealers, often consecutively. no fight lasted more than 45 seconds and no mob got off more than 1 (if any) of it's tp-based skills. we were making about 10-12K exp an hour and often running out of mobs in the area. the ONLY thing annoying about it is when, as a blm, i would get ready to MB but have no idea who's actually going to sling the second 1/2 of the SC...but i couldn't complain because the exp came so fast without even trying. the only thing better to watch is a thf/nin with maxed double and triple attack merits while wielding it. this is a frightful weapon indeed.
Best use I have seen for the Kraken Club was by a RNG/NIN. The RNG would build up TP, WS, build up TP, WS... etc. Had a PLD for Sentinal, easy chains and quick kills with this method. That was a post 70 party fighting Weapons.

I still think the best use for a KC is a drk with souleater and blood weapon. Sure it'll only last for 30 seconds, but there aren't many mobs that'll last that long.
