I just tested this staff soloing in Crawler's Nest - I say test, when I mean "found by accident".

The staff gives -2 Carby perpetuation cost. Only Carby, not any of the other Avatars unfortunately.

My test: Just soloing, no refresh.

Carby: perpetuation 5
Mitts: Perpetuation 4
Mitts and Staff: Perpetuation 2
Staff, no Mitts: Perpetuation 3

Other Avatars: Perpetuation 7
With Staff: Perpetuation 7

This was at level 52, no Austere gear.

Ok, I tested this too and no difference. Lv44 SMN/WHM. No items that reduce perpetuation cost. With Staff it was 5mp/tick and w/o staff it was still 5mp/tick.
I'll try playing around with it in different situations but I don't expect to see any difference.

no, theres no hidden effect on this staff. is it really that hard to believe that a AF weapon sucks? cause a lot of other ones do, too. specifically, the mage ones.

the only thing about this weapon is that it does three more damage then the himmel stock...

so you might haul this one around if you plan on clubbing stuff with your staff at level 41. :P

I don;'t know what the extra effects are, but i have heard from many level 75 people that having the full artifact set with the weapon gives you a boost to your important stat, I've heard that the summoner gives an extra 100 mp, blm gives something like 10 int, whm is something like 10 mind. I've never seen proof of this, but this is what ios rumored

I'm RDM63 with full AF and weapon. There are no extra stats other than what is listed for each item.

Here's a breakdown of the RDM AF (with weapon). Stat boosts are listed in the item description.

Weapon: MP+10 INT+1 MND+1
Hat: MP+20 INT+3 Elemental Magic+10 Enhance "Fast Cast"
Tabard: MP+14 CHR+5 Spell Interruption-10% Enfeeb Magic+15
Gloves: MP+12 DEX+4 Dark Resist+10 Parry+10
Tights: MP+13 MND+3 Healing Magic+10 Enhance Magic+15

This may be what they're talking about for AF stat boosts, in which, yes, they do exist, but there is nothing more given than what is in the item descriptions.

I was in the quicksand caves in a party and another smn asked me if the staff has any hidden effects. I didnt know so i felt like checking but i cant find anything. Does anyone know if this staff has anything special about it?

Unless there are 2 lv41 staffs for SMN only...these stats are wrong..it adds about 60+mp and 3+ on blood pact delay..which is bad ><

Himmel Stock MP+63 "Blood Pact" ability delay +3
I got this on the BCNM40 in Pal. Mines (Royal Jelly) I personally like it (hume) and I think it's a case of {Magic Points} {Do you need it?} Even though Humes don't get a lack of MP, I find that this helps out. The delay is 3 seconds people... 3 seconds... not to mention combined with some of other armor, this could cancel it out, for 63 MP, more than what 2 astral rings give :/ I don't notice a huge difference personally. In the time that it takes for me to remember that I have a 3 seconds delay, the 3 seconds delay is done :D

Kukulcan's staff isnt really great, but i dont know of any real good AF weapons anyways :P only reason i need this is so i can continue the rest of the Af gear when i need too, the himmel stock i dont mind +63>+3 on delay when half the time during that time your either curing or buffing or casting blink or whatever it may be so you really already eat the time before you know it but to each his own.

[]I dont know how great it is,but the Himmel Stock is better all around.I did the NM Galgalim this moring with my 58 SMN for the AF1 Kukulcans staff and it was a cake walk.I listened to a 75 SMN in my LS who told me i couldn't solo it when i was level 50 and again at 56.I have no doubt a level 50 SMN could solo this.

I only did it to get it out of the way for the rest of my AF gear!

its a lvl 40 SMN only weapon
u ge that from 3ppl BCNM 40 at Pal mines
(something shrine if i remember correctly)

oh and my ls is telling me that SMN AF1 has a hidden affect
its suppose to do massive dmg against Dark Elvaan type enemies
don't know if its true but i'll test this out later once i get higher lvls >_<

I've seen the weapon in-game on a lv63 summoner. MP+20 is the only thing it's got. Combined with all the other SMN AF, this can help a whole lot.

the item u are looking forward is avatar's belt it has -2 cost to sustain the summon but u only get it in bcnms...
i just dont remember if the its lantent effect or not this -2 cost

The Avatar's Belt is Latent Effect, which is only activated if your current Subjob is Smn, not Main... which imho makes the belt somewhat useless.

yea still is since untill smn sub reachs somewhere in the 20's and gets whispering wind and aerial armor but even then those buffs will eat a whm's mp like theres no tomorrow the only thing the belt is good for is fun ^^ no cost at avatars with the right equip other then that i dont see any use i had one and played with it for awhile then sold it awhile later cause i got bored with it :P only reason anyone plays as whm/smn is for the mp boost and if you use the avatars buffs during a pt your pt will be pissed since most avatar buffs eat like 60-100+ mp pretty big effect on a whm with practically no mp :P

It's a Staff not a Polearm. Summoners can't use Polearms.

Actually a rdm can use H2H weapons but he doesnt have it as a skill, i had rdm to lvl 30 and 1 day i noticed H2H weapons had rdm on them, but there is no skill in it.
What makes a good charater you say?

a smn can use any weapon that says smn. so theoretically if there was a polearm that was rated with smn capability then they could use it.... we will wait for the expansion to see what happens here.

if this was true then summoners would have Polearm skill listed in their combat skills. Like you said in theory something that could be added in the expansion, but I wouldn't count on it. :P

Go take a look at the Rune Chopper, a lv 70 Great Axe. You'll notice that it's useable by Black Mages. They can certainly equip and wield a that weapon, but they are doing so with zero weapon skill and no chance of a skill-up.

Black mage can wear a small sword too, there are a couple weapons that defy jobs' abilities. Although, if you were a black/red, the small sword for instance might do some damage... or black/dark for the great axe, you'd have half the correct skill, and GA are pretty nifty. :P

No saddly these are the correct stats... Ive seen the staff ingame ... BUT it IS the BEST mp+ staff for that level. no other staff gives that much at this level ... just look at the list of all the staves

The Himmel Stock actually gives more, it's a new staff...

Level 40, +63 MP.

However, it also increases your blood pact timer by 3 seconds (For 63 MP, that is very much worth it to me, and is probably the staff I'll be using til 51)

They post the data they have been sent. If someone failed to send it in they didnt know. =)

There is a Submit Info button in the menu on the left, I'd imagine it isnt hard to get the real stats and send them in.
