my bro was runnin thru giddeus...cant remember why, as a lvl 35 pld and didnt know much about hoo mjuu at the time, except that he dropped the signa, there was literally not another person visible, he was yellow...but since he didnt know if he could take it or not he let it go >.< 15 mins later /sh OMFG GOT THE SIGNA AHAAHAHAH we /c hes a lvl 31drk>.<

i got a phone call this morning from my LS telling me that they decided im getting fame for utsusemi today. so me and 3 members of our LS goes out to kill us some bird. an hour goes by, full inventory we go in shortly after killin beguiler (however u spell it) to trade necklaces. After town i go to jeuno, dont have enough fame and choco back, Riceballs were 156..so 2 of us went to help somone kill the windy dragon while Salazaar helped with my necklaces. Sal went hi and i went low..well just outta the blue i popped widescan (lvl 44RNG/THF) and wouldnt u know it....Hoo Mjuu is spawned. Now mind u im low and hes up on that ledge. Im shouting over the mic that hes spawned and needs to claim him while im spamin Shadowbind trying to claim it from a mile away. So im siting there crappin my pants trying to claim it for 3 minutes while he is killing a priest....he finishes up comes back and claims it with Dia. i ranged attack twice, it used benediction i used barrage and in the midst of all the spam from the other 30 yag links Monster Signa dropped. the going price is 280k in Fairy so shortly me and mi amigo Sal are 140k the richer.

First off I'll give a quick lowdown on my previous impressions of the infamous Monster Signa. I didn't think of it as an essential piece of equipment for BRD or BST as everyone claims it is. Plus the fact that the Signa was and has been going for 400,000 Gil on the Hades server meant that as a Bard with no leveled Thief job I would never have enough Gil to own it or be able to camp it with any success.
Well, this Thanksgiving we had an LS party doing BCNM40 in Giddeus. Four of us were standing in the spawn spot for Hoo Mjuu the Torrent, just hanging out while we waited for the other two party members. Two of us sat down in the little pond when Mr. Mjuu spawns and we take him down in about 30 seconds. Anyway, to all of our amazement the Signa drops. I'm going nuts as I can't believe this thing actually dropped my first time ever even seeing the spawn point with my own eyes.
So, we all lot for it and, as usual, I get the lowest roll. To my surprise, the rest of my LS party members all pass on it and let me have it. I love these guys. Lowest roll and first time running into him, not even camping it and they let me have the Signa I thought I would never get. Thanks again to all of you! I had to promise I would never sell it and now that I own it, I'm convinced it IS an essensial piece of Bard equipment. I won't do BCNM40 again without it.

I'm 0/2 on this guy. Got mitts first time and deoderize the second. /cry

If there's lots of people around, choose one spot, position your camera and spam your pulling macro. Sometimes there's not a lot of people (sometimes none at all) so that's always good.

as a WHM, Dia, its very fast, and I would suggest t over provoke. Even though provoke is faster, Dia's recast time isn't soo long.

I beat out a 40DRG/WAR in grabbin it with:

It rocked but I didn't know this thing used benidiction. That sucked. So I start nukin it, it 2 hours, so being low on mp at that point I had to 2-hour to beat it. No biggie, I will easily trade a 2 hour for 450K on Sylph.

ok this is pissing me off I have been looking on how the heck to get to the spawn point and I cannot get up there.... Ive been in giddeus for 4 hours just trying to get up where he spawns.... can someone tell me please? This is frustrating me.
yes i can tell you, when you enter giddeus go to the right and keep going until you get to the tunnel go into the tunnel and keep going until the path spilts in 2. go to the right and follow that part of the tunnel until you come to a dead end room. In the room there should be some grass go to the middle of the grass and you will fall through the floor. when you fall through there is only one path that leads out of the tunnel take it and you will end up on the higher area

spawn will be 1 hour so long as u kill all the place holders. if the place holders arent killed, spawn can be up to 3 hrs.
I have read almost all posts havnt figured out spawn is it every game day like Castle camping Mee Deggi or what?
I would lovethis for my BST, but since I assist my pets there's really no point. Unless this can make me charm IT/tough mobs for more than 10 seconds. Now if I was a bard...

I finally got it~~~ my Signa ^3^
killed that thing twice tonight. first time it dropped me a pair of mitts(worth 10k). Second pop, I was so damn lucky coz other folks were killing a Yagudo they didn't see Hoo Mjuu.
I had 300% TP with me, was using staff. I quickly launched the Earth Crusher, but then suddenly my "R" dropped to 0.... I was thinking "WTF......" and I thought my connection was about to drop. But after like 10 seconds, it resumed~~~ THX GOD!!! And it dropped me the Signa~~~~ =3=

I know this is weird, but my friend in the game has been camping him, now i have not seen him for about 1 month or so (in game, i see his name on only) and he tells me he is now bazaaring 23 of these in his guy. I am like twenty-three? WTF can I have one. Sure he said, for 250k.

Heh first time i've actually killed an nm and i got this drop ^_^ Waited, first 2 spawns got it taken b4 i could engage, 3rd time killd it and dropped. Was a friends 53 rdm/ 25 thf.

Like i said about the mary's horn, i got as far as i did without either of them. Never lost a BCNM either.
Ive done steamed sprouts over 18 times and never got a single resist. I wouldnt take this into bcnms even if i had it. -5 vit = death, especially if you are a tarutaru like myself.
Anyway, it's definitely not worth the 400k+ it goes for on midgard. Its really just a status symbol...it's also fuuuuugly.

anyone know if a lv 28 MNK/WAR can take him down? i'm willing to use Hundred Fists since i can't even fight toughs w/ it now. and i have almost the best equip for my job/level.
