apperently SE updated the item, b/c my THF friend is using them right now to skillup marksmanship. So if someone could send in a new pic, that'd be great.

Skilling up Marksmanship
# Oct 06 2004 at 5:49 PM Rating: Decent
If you are a RNG, you know you can't take hits very well, even if you are 30 levels above the mob. I use this bolt for skill up since I am quite a bit under, and I love it. Very good for skilling up Marksmanship.
gotta love 'em

Seriously. What more could a solo thief want? If you're farming and the things you kill (quadavs) drop more then 3 things worth 1k each, you've just paid for your expedition. LOVE these things!

I have gotten people to get totally shocked by me soloing Goblin Butchers at lvl 30 in Yuhtunga jungle because of these, Acid Bolts, and Sleep Bolts.

I would recommend every thf have their marksmanship maxed, and have at lease one stack of each of these.

You got a link... sleep it. You are soloing and you want to Sneak Attack... Sleep it. Acid Bolts are the best thing in the world for pulling... Mob gets back to the pt with a lowered Defense. I have seen an increase of 10-15 pts dmg against crawlers in the next for the entire pt. Or even better... The Bloody Bolt. The mage never has to use mp on you. You pull and get a few hits on the way back, just connect twice per hit against you(I ussually take about 100-150 dmg per hit from an IT...) and you are back at full health.
I have all three setup in my macros now so I just switch between which ever bolt is best. I can't wait. Hopefully by the time I am done with the promivians I will have my alchemy high enough so I can start making these on my own... That way I can keep the ingredients and just use the bolt head that I need to refill my bolts on the fly...:)

Ok, cheesy, but until you use these, you can't begin to understand the power of them...

I had heard these stories, but only recently got around to trying them. They have totally motivated me to level my marksmanship. They are GODLY. So far I'm only at 92 Marksmanship, out of a 161 cap, though. >_< They are still awesome as can be, though. ^^
Drain

Lovely for Darks farming but you have to get your skill up. But even though my marksmanship is in the 30s, when i hit, the effect happens everytime for 25 to 40 hp.
Lovely.

Whenever my WHM sees me with these bolts he suddenly becomes very happy. ^^

I think I am happier than him though. I like sapping the last bit of life from a gob. >=)
Drain

I would say this is very good for drks considering the recast for drain is about a minute and we have high delays.
Cost?

Wouldn't those be pretty expensive, though? If they're as good as you said they are, at around 50 a hit, it just seems they'd cost alot.

Can also be used by THF. These are great for farming. You never have to stop. Also like most darkness based attacks they do not work on the undead and bats. The Hp drain doesn't seem to be damage based as when I tried them out as 31 THF/WAR with my friend 58 WAR/RNG we both got around the same drain amount 10-120.

These are some rocking bolts.

can drain more

trust me you can drain more than 10-20 with these things. I drain an average of 50 hp with them, sometimes as high as 100+
wow

These bolts are a solo rangers dream. for me i get about 10-20 hp drained each hit and when in areas where mobs hit for 30-40 you can easily solo without much trouble and minimal down time..

all that can be said is wow
