I just tried farming for some of these.

I used to care about my sig. Then I got mocked and butt-hurt. I shall commence with the self-pity now.
I am leveling NIN to 37 now and I don't really like to be gimp when I play any job. I need some Kaginawa cause I just got Hojo, and the price history shows 57k. I almost pooped myself. Nevertheless I researched and found that the main cost is from this hair so I plan on farming it and getting a LS member to synth for me. 57k is just insane.
If it takes 3 hairs to make a stack minimum w/o fails thats 15k on some server. I belive on the same server som1 said th tool was 40-45k. Thats 30k profit. I might have to do some searchin but I don't think the other mats are expensive at all.

Amazingly this has gone up to 7-8k on my server (Bahamut). There's gonna be some pissed Ninjas when they find out Kaginawa's gone up to 30k, especially when it was only 20k less than a week ago.
I have been slowly trying to level up all my crafting (and you need every craft except for bone crafting to 30+) to make my own ninja tools... Unfortunately, cloth crafting and woodworking are my last 2...:( I wish I had thought about it more thoroughly when I started I could have beat the inflation. Now I just hope I can still use this as a skill up craft to get high enough to make shinobi-tabis...

Makes me feel lucky. Here I was thinking Kaginawa was going to suck out me money when I hear about the costs on Unicorn. The tools are 20k-22k on Garuda, and we have gil sellers out the ###.
As for cost, last time I looked Manticore hair was about 5k. I'll double check pricing to be sure.

Costs go anywhere from 8-11k on Asura.
4k on unicorn ......
On Siren Manticore Hair sells for 2k ea.
