Is there a Pheonix?

Yes, there is... unfortunately, this legendary bird, which is only seen in the Promathia storyline, was killed sometime in the indeterminate past. The only time you ever see the phoenix legacy is in Tenzen's great katana, where a portion of its' spirit resided.

If you use it you will get full HP full MP and full TP (300%) if you want to revive a fallen party member try Raise.
But it would kickass to have an item to raise yourself like a scroll or somthing that you could use if you were about to die. And if it only cost CP you could save for your provoke scroll ^^

Wrong, you're thinking of the regain feather.

Um, Scroll of Instant Reraise perhaps? Not sure what you mean by "provoke scroll" though.

Saw this in someones bazaar, and like thunder, I nearly crapped myself too, then took a 2nd look and realized it couldn't be. I figure I look it up here just in the event they did impliment it, but I guess not. I don't see why they don't either! I mean Phoenix Downs are as common to the FF series about as much as Cid is IMO... no? Come on SE make it possiable!!!! I agree, Alchemy crafted, stackable? eh... but it's a one time use for a silly raise 1. I mean it would save the WHM's that run thru Dunes, and not many ppl want to waste thier CPs on the reraise scroll. This won't make it so ppl won't get them, cuz you can't be sure someone will have them! I don't care wtf the sell for later on... I JUST WANT PHOENIX DOWNS!!!! You can add 937658738462976+purple857290 reraise equipment (i.e. earrings) but not the most common of raise items in all of FF?! Common SE... DEW EEET!

In some of them, they're called Phoenix Pinions... I think in FF6, Locke used that to try and revive his girlfriend. In FF9, it was a battle-only Phoenix Down, which also taught Eiko the Phoenix Summon I think?

RE: Feather=Down

It's a matter of yes and no iirc. If feather is an umbrella all those other words listed as synonyms fit underneath the umbrella as different types of feathers. This is a long tail feather of the Phoenix. I have a down comforter at home and if you've ever looked inside a down comforter the feathers inside are very different from tail feathers. Down is soft, think of those little floofy feathers you see that birds leave behind. I believe it comes from the underbelly of the bird. It can keep things very warm like eggs for instance. So, when you compile a bunch of down into a comforter you are left with a very soft and warm blanket. I've guess we've yet to see an actual phoenix down...I bet it would be really nice to have in a pinch.
