I've heard that 4 of these in your Mog House, a 4-Leaf Mandragora Bud and a Lucky Egg in your Inventory would create a Treasure Hunter 2 effect? Can someone confirm before I spend 300k?

Nope .. it does have a secret though ... It randomly gives you a present through your Moogle. Just check your moogle everytime you go to your home nation. Once it gave me Raise III. :) I was very happy.

Some people come up with the wildest rumors. Funny thing is it almost always involes a thief. Nothing you mentioned is correct. Your thinking of the following rumors..

- Millionares desk enhancing TH.
- Lucky Egg enhancing TH.
- 4-leaf mandgragora bud enhancing TH.

Its all superstitious garbage and I strongly believe the only thing that effects drops is the TH trait, and the moon. I believe in the moon because I used to mine and the drops while mining based on the moon change drastically. I'm a 62 THF for refrence.

That's correct, but only on smegday during a wobbling wibble.

NOTHING you mentioned will give you TH.
The armoires give moghancement:fishing.
The 4-leaf bud and lucky egg do not give any TH when in your inventory. There is not a single item in game that increases an ability or stat when it's not equiped or eaten, and it's no different here. In this case, eat the lucky egg (4-leaf is less powerfull) to get more chance on drops.

Regarding the Protect4 scroll

Just got this after conquest tally.
Bastok was last. I still got the scroll, I put the armorie < 24 hrs before tally.

Tried getting it at Jeuno, didn't work, but the moogle responded back in your actual mog house (the one in your country)

Rank 10 and max or near max fame for me.

Based on the fact that level 51 goldsmithing is required to make a gold ingot I would have to say that this requires 90 woodworking and 51 or so goldsmithing. Like someone said earlier, it is not possible to have 2 crafts at 90. Well hope this helps.

61 Woodworking 24 Smithing 5 Goldsmithing
"oh yes, This will be mine..."

If you had Gobbiebag IV, Mog Safe III, and 30 of these Armoires (good luck with that seeing as they cost a bucketload of gil) you would have 250 slots for items. That's quite a bit but I still don't think it covers equipment, spells, and tools for multiple jobs & crafts. Either S-E doesn't want you to work on more than one thing at a time or they want you to front the buck for a Mule ^^.

So is this true or not?
How to get Protect scrolls
# Jan 10 2005 at 9:32 AM Rating: Decent
I put the Armoire in my Mog House on Friday. Max fame in Bastok. Sunday tally came, no scroll. Bastok was 3rd in conquest. Next Sunday, Bastok came 2nd in conquest. Moogle gave me the scroll. So..

You must have:
1) Max fame in your hometown.
2) Armoire in your Mog House at time of conquest tally.

Talk to the moogle by clicking on him (not by selecting Mog House from the game menu). You must also talk to him in your home mog house. You will not get the scroll if you talk to him in a rent-a-room.

There may also be a conquest position requirement (2nd of greater). Can anyone confirm this?

I don't know if I am the only one, but something really cool happened to me. I had just finsished the 3rd expansion of the mog safe, I was just waiting for my moogle to return, so I checked back the next day (real life) and I got the 80 slot upgrade. My moogle said while hewas gone he found scroll of Protect 4, which sells for about 60-70k on Titan. Has anyone else been as fortunate as me? It was a very nice surprise!!

You could get 16 of these, Mogsafe 3, and Gobbie 6. you would have 60 slots of Inventory, 64 free slots in safe, and 80 free slots in storage, but the Inventory doesn't have much to so with Moghouse Space. So total Moghouse is 144 (minus the furniture), for a total of 204 Total free space including Inventory.

Enough with the IMPOSSIBLE crafting recipies
# Feb 28 2004 at 1:05 PM Rating: Good
Ok, seriously. People need to STOP submitting recipies without actually knowing what the requirement is. It is NOT possible for an item to require 90 in woodworking and goldsmithing.

Heres the deal. You can take all the crafts up to 60, but beyond 60, you can only have a total of 40 points.

That means that if you have woodworking of 90, the highest you could have goldsmithing or ANY OTHER SKILL would be 70 (60 + 30 and 60 + 10 for a total of 40 points beyond 60 in all skills).

Seriously, people need to understand the difference between primary and secondary craft skills. Just because it requires 90 in one and also requires another DOES NOT MEAN THE OTHER HAS TO BE 90!

A good example is the powerbow. Most sites have it listed as 26 woodworking 26 bonecraft. Funny thing is the ACTUAL bonecrafting requirement is 8. EIGHT! Enough with the BS recipies. If you don't know it, don't submit it/include it.

Well, that's news to me. Crap. I was planning on being able to make the elemental beads, then make the staves to go along with them, all with minimal cost to myself. Thanks for dashing my hopes and dreams...^^

Nah, now I just know to plan ahead with the crafting stuff more than ever. Just have to figure out which one to take all the way...

Whenever I see a subskill like this I ask a simple question - what skill would I need to manipulate the other material ?

Gold ingots are aprox level 60 Goldsmith to trivial (depends on materials used) so I would take a bet that if you try this with 10 Goldsmith skill you are going to have a very expensive failure.

That is exactly what I do when figuring out what sub skill requirements are needed. You look at what skill is needed to make the item that is being subskilled.

For instance, a Gambison needs gold smithing as well as cloth, but the material it needs is made right about 10 goldsmith, which means as long as I have 10 goldsmithing I can make the gambison as long as my clothcraft is high enough.

Experience: I make Gambison's all the time when they come up for the clothcraft guild point items and my goldsmithing has never gone up when I make them.

Conclusion: Look at what level is needed to make the item with the respective secondary/tertiary craft and then you will know if you can make it with your primary or not.

FossaFerox, I know you're right, but I'm wondering where you get the actual information? Meaning advanced games rules, like the guild mastery (and it's values) and the actual requirement values for the subcrafts in recipies.

thx in advance

If you look at the top of the column involving the level, you will notice that it says 'skill cap' and not skill requirement. I assume that this means that the numbers in this column are the maximum you can raise your crafting level to from crafting each particular item. For example, if my woodworking skill is at 83, crafting lauan lumber is not going to raise my skill any because the highest I can raise my skill through making lauan lumber is to level eight. Continuing with my assumptions, I believe that the numbers in parentheses following the name of secondary skills needed to craft items also denote skill cap and not skill requirement. As far as I've seen this site does not list skill requirements. Hope this helps.

His post was posted long before alla.com started listing cap levels, and they only get their info from us. I was just wondering where in game you can verify how high the subskill needs to be for multiple tradeskill synths.

Is it possible to get this w/o crafting it? That's the only method I saw on another site.
