10/9/06 yet still nobody knows what this thing is used for >< Well good news is a 75 rdm/nin and a 70 rdm/blm can duo him if your good enough lol. stand halfway up the steps no magic agro from pots from above and no tonberry agro.

well don't think you too good if need 2x good players.. soloed this Manipulator as 70RDM/35BLU was long fight too and stonesking recast got avaible just intime if mob didn't use dmg WSs. Had no food no items with me. Just my purplemage solo gear.
A 75 rdm/blm and 75brd/whm can also duo this even with a pot and 3 tonberrys as links..

my guess is its a trigger. if it has sold for 400k then someone knows what it is good for. and a trigger that can be bought for 100g is a good deal^^

The shield dropped from Manipulator is used to make Holy/Divine shield along with a Mana Barrel which is stolen from Sacrificial Goblet. Sac. Goblet also drops a shield... Hmm... Maybe I'm on to something here, but probably not. Who knows?
To this day and still nobody knows... wtf, why would SE make an item stealable that cant be used for anything? And then, why do some ppl want this?

still no idea what this does, sold one for 10k. Ask the taru what it did and he said it was for his friend or something, he was JP but that's what i gathered.
Also like to note the "hummimg noise". They need spell check, it's on the item like shown in the picture. Maybe the will fix it once the public figures out what this thing does. :D

wow 8 months or so have passed since someone asked about it and still noone has posted or possibly even figured out what its for, amazing...

It is stolen of an NM in Temple of Uggalpeh called Manipulator. I have one myself...my only problem is I don't know what its for.
I can confirm this also. A THF in our LS stole this from the Manipulator NM while we were running around the Temple of Uggalepih. None of us knew what it was for though. That NM also drops a Hard Shield which is also used to for synthing into a Holy Shield (i think ^^;)
I no longer have to go to that Tonberry hellhole (at least for a while). I've gotten a lot of good loot from that place with the help of my LS!

It's a drop Stolen from this guy but I have no damn idea what it's used for.
