GMs are not players and they are almost never seen except for weird scenarios and also there job is to help with problems on the servers (not that they do much of that but still...) and they are quite helpful if the problem pertains to there help alowance

Hello all. I was a GM on a Sony Station game that EVERYONE should know about named Everquest...and if you dont...go dig a hole in your citys central park and sit in it...and in case your town/city dont have a central park....dig in your backyard, and hope you dont hit the old septic tank...

Anywayz, As a EX-gm (ill get to that later), Yes, there are commands they type that CAN kill anything and ANY PLAYER character on the server. They pretty much have FULL server control beside SE. Yes, they have Infinite Gil/Platinum/Gold w/e you wanna call it. A GM's strength is off the charts, as we could make it whatever we wanted. No, CKing a monster wont cause a server reboot, unless they type /destroy all <insert mob name here> and it kills EVERYTHING related in that one family on the entire server.

A word on Problomatic Mob Creatures: If you have EVER played or watched a WoW vid, you may kno about the Lord Kazaak issue they had on a Europeon Server (Burning Legion), They took a lvl 500 Raid boss to a n00b town...you can only guess how that ended...long story short on this one, is that they can delete what they want, when they want and how they want. (1 kill, xp for all who had the problem)

As for the EX-gm part, i made the mistake of telling a customer that caught me on a bad day to forget Sony and Everquest, and go get World of Warcraft...i didnt think they would do it, so then i got fired/removed/sanctioned...

ok... whats this all about is it that big of a deal that they get cooler/more distinguished armor? i have been helped 2 times by them. i was hacked and one of them gave me 10k to get stuf to farm and the other got me unstuck from th top of a tree.(funny for people to see) they dont really choose what they wear either it is given to them and they need to wear it to be the gm i asked one.

They take things to serious in my opinion and they are like dressed in some sort of red armor with a weird helmet, Someone called one on me in Dunes so i know what one looks like. Just so you know what they look like now Devaz and yes they are cocky.

I want to know why we cant get the GMs stuff aswell. We play the game and we get crap stuff compared to them. they get anything they want and they probably can get infinite gil for themselves. Its just not fair at all.
I wouldnt mind if they decided to help us with their infinite strength and mp they could pl people for free and they wont even take a spek of damage. I have never seen a GM player before but i think they are probably cocky.
They could take anything on for a hell of alot of exp. even at lvl 1 they can take on the highest lvls in the first area outside a city. GMs are nothing but scum who wont help people in need because they have too much pride and dignity to help people like us normal players.

Im sure i speak for everyone in saying that we want help, we want pling, and we want alot of gil ^^ lol

ive wanted to be4 cuz this guy in windy kept spamming /random over and over and ove.....we anyways i want to kno for in the future.

With all the cool stuff that GMs can do, invisibility, insta-kill, instant job switching, invincability, etc. shouldn't they be something cooler than Game Masters, like Demi-Gods or something?

I am so glad that GMs aren't as useless here as they are portrayed in .hack....

GMs do wonder around in the game. one time in cape terragin our party was the only ppl in there and a GM poped up right infront of us and then went invisible; ;. you could do a /check "gm name" on him and see all his armor and add it to auto translater. you could also send him tells and it wouldnt say this person is not on. he poked me and a friend of mine that was in the party lol.and also i dont see how a GM could kill anything considering that they are only level 1. i have asked a GM what level they are, and have seen a screenshot of them saying that yes they are level 1 BUT the GM Sagesundi is a DRK81/NIN40(seen screenshot). he was wearing the Adaman armor before it came out level 72 i beleive. the only reason he was probaly lv 81 was because his linkshell said something like "END-OF-BETA-TEST"

ok ppl i think this armor is just horrible i know any GM can wear it but i think it makes them look utterly rediculis im sure just like players they play the game to and why if you did play the game for funr a sa GM would you wear this armor???? O_o
it just makes the game that much less fun T_T
i mean comon your a lvl 1 SAM or something and it hits you for 0 DMG and you hit it for about 500+ O_O

GM's wear armor because it makes them look distinguishable. What are they gonna put 'em in, Paladin AF? Or the same "Errant" junk that all the big mages wear? As for stats, c'mon. Look at the junk. It's just ridiculously overpowered because it sounds cool, not because they want to taunt you and claim they can kill Kirin in one blow.

To get a job as a GM, you send in an application, much like any other job. You can find info at www.square-enix.com. Easy cheesy.

As for Cronoze, you're a moron. GM's don't play the game seriously because they don't play the game. They're administrators, dope. Guys paid to sit in a cubicle in Squeenix's building all day and answer GM calls. I'd find it a neat job since I used to play an administrator for an old MUD back in the day.
