My best friend needed a golden eye for his ohat, so i figured hell why not and tagged along
while he was getting his slow ****** over to SSG i pulled a mindgazer from the top of the bridge for fun...

we were like dayem, and figured we'd complete the sahagin key quest, since we got ready to finish it and all
so i go talk to one of the NPCs while he fishes up the norg shell, and when i come back the mindgazer repops
and i pull it just for fun
and drop >_>
so yea, we hunted his earthen eye after, went 1/5 on that, then i went 1/1 after he left
now if only someone can buy these eyes ><

drop rate seems really weird. I farm these from time to time in SSG, sometimes i'll get 3 or 4 in a couple hours, other times i can go for hours and not get a drop. I go mnk/thf and lvl my NPC, soothing healer does a good job removing paralyze too ^^
Your average 70 nin (me) cannot kill one of these... as -ga spells = rape. Also blaze spikes + fast attacker = fail. Maybe with a good leveled npc who can silence it or something, which I do not have.

Just hanging around in SSG, decided to kill these things. I silenced pulled the single Mindgazer off of the bridge and had fun kiting them around as RDM/BLM and killing them with bio II/poison II/shock/burn. After my fifth kill..."You find a Golden Hakutaku eye on the Mindgazer."
i went and helped my friend get his haku eyes tonight.... i went 75rdm/nin and he came 75blm/whm.... first stop was KRT... i solod one of the thousand eyes (i think thats the right name) and went 1/1 on the eye before he even got down there, not bad
then we went to SSG to test our luck on Golden Haku eye. This eye gave me hell when i was farming for my hat, and Bananapie, my friends...
took us about 25 kills to get the golden eye without TH, although i think it took longer when i got my Golden eye way back when
so without TH, id say this Drop rate is 4% ish or even less, its the most rare eye
dont waste ur time pulling the single Mindgazer that pops in the area pullable from outside of the Saghan door, its not worth it
then we went to SSG to test our luck on Golden Haku eye. This eye gave me hell when i was farming for my hat, and Bananapie, my friends...
took us about 25 kills to get the golden eye without TH, although i think it took longer when i got my Golden eye way back when

If I can ask where were you camping and would it be feasable for a lvl 66 BST to exp off these?

I was probably in one of those lucky drop pt's. We pulled from brige in Sea Serpent Grotto and got a golden Hktk. eye each time. About 6 tries. Party setup was 46 rdm, 66 drg, 41 drk lol, 65 mnk, 62 sam, and 54 thf. Wonder what their worth. I already have farmed them all....

Got 4 of these in little over an hr pt set up was me(75 PLd) 75Drk 71Sam 74Thf. on a side note i dinged 75 on these LOL AXI 4 Life
