Testing on non Monk with Kick Attack shoes.

As THF75 I've been messing around capping HTH, and read up about these 4 Kick attack bonus shoes, and how there was some question as to if they gave kick attacks or not. I then tried camping for Kung Fu, which didn't go well, but later one of my Monk friends said they had a pair I could test out.

As 75THF/MNK, using HTH and wearing Kung Fu's, I spent a good hour or so smacking things outside Rabao, and no, I never once saw any Kick Attacks, other than the ones included in weaponskills of course.

So, either they don't give the kick attack ability or its so low I didn't see it in an hour. My theory is, (because my friend says he does kick attack more with these on) is that these do increase your kick attack dmg and rate but only if you already have the ability.

I can't assume that Kung Fu, Wulong, Wulong+1 and Dune all behave the same, but just posting the info about these so if anyone was wondering like I was when I looked up these.

Coming up, testing with Strike Subligar, whenever I can obtain them.

Kick attacks are level 51 Mnk i believe. so then as a thf/mnk you would not get kick attacks, hence forth no bonus to kick attacks.

I'm sorry for this rant and feel free to flame I doubt I'll be coming back to the site. I spent so much gil on weapons for my hands and haste gear and stuff in general and saw these shoes and kong-fu and dune boots on other mnks and was always why in the hell are they wearing them. The Def is the only thing and it's not so great.

Now I learn then are like h2h weapons for the feet. +11-20 Pending on whoever says not really sure. I wish it just said +## to kick att either the price would go up or not idk but I would have save some gil.

DUDE STFU,I WISH I HAD A PAIR OF THESE, OR AT LEAST THE GIL TO SPLASH ON EM!!!!!

???

I didn't even get what the meaning was of the first guy's post, the fact that you understand him really scares me.

Wth? Are new types of humans being created with multi-directional hyper-tangent muddle-tracked minds? Burn them all I say!

Finally got to 66!

I put these on as soon as I leveled. They do not look pretty, at least not on Elvaan female. They have high heels and make your ankles/back of foot look a bit ugly imho.
The increased kick damage was notable though. Instead of doing half punch damage on easy prey, they did almost double punch damage. Very nice.

I did not notice a dramatic increase in Dragon Kick damage, but have only used it a few times before I logged. Dragon Kick damage for me has always had a large variation, so maybe these increased the basal level or something, but the difference wasn't enough to really notice from just a few kicks. I will test them some more, maybe I will start to see the difference. Either way the added kick damage is a nice change, really makes you look forward to each kick attack.

It's been tested, neither these nor any of the other kick attack boots have an effect on Dragon Kick.

I've been using this for sometime now,
sold Kung Fu and bought this.

This basicly makes your Kick Attacks deal as
much dmg as your punches would do if you had
DMG:+21 or +22 on your H2H weapons

If you like to kick you're gonna kick alot more
with weapons with less delay ;)

These are also great for Dragon Kick

When you get lvl 70 Dune Boots 4tw

- earth crystal
- Kung Fu Shoes
- grass thread

I have these bad boys my kicks do ~10-20 dmg more then my punches on IT mobs. When fighting |Too Weak}| my kicks do ~40-50 dmg more... I don't think Kick dmg is capped. my hth caps @~130 on too weak. I have seen kicks do 150-170 on |Too Weak|

Has anyone parsed the damage that either of these two do or know whether one is stronger than the other significantly? I would really like to know.

OK. I know that these shoes are made from the kung fu shoes dropped off of an NM cactuar, the thing I don't understand is: Why do people want these? there are no effects... or anything, just some crappy DEF that is beat by many other shoes. Someone please tell me what I'm missing here.

Hidden effect increases MNKs kick attack power. Makes them better. Voila.

it will also give any job that equips them the kick atacks ability. example: lvl 66 whm (or 51 as kung fu give it as well) equips these and melees a mob, the whm will now deliver random kick attacks. these shoes arent bad for DD jobs like sam and drk imo.

You sir, are incorrect. I've been trying these out for a day now, I haven't kick attacked once. So no, no kick attacks for non-monks.

Kick attacks do not occur unless you are fighting H2H. No idea if the shoes give kick attacks, but you won't see any if you have weapons equipped.
