how's the drop rate of this?
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 15 2005 at 4:28 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) its rumored that mnd+ can also increase the tp gain of a sam's meditare. can anyone confirm this? If it's true then i could imagince a substantual tp gain while wearing these and meding
RE: mnd+ for meditate?
# Dec 05 2005 at 8:23 AM Rating: Default
I heard that too, but if there's any truth in that, then it doesn't increase the tp gain from meditate, just the chance of getting max boost from it. Exemple, with Myochin Kabuto only, you can get 120% or 140% from meditate. I believe if you macro +mnd gear, you increase the chances of getting 140%. However, i say this considering only what i heard, i've never seen any confirmation about that and never tried myself. Gonna be trying soon, but as mithra sam, even with +mnd gear my mnd is still pretty low ><

RNG use~
# Aug 05 2005 at 4:53 PM Rating: Decent
I got these a few days ago for my 75 RNG (no mnk in ls) the +15mnd is killer for earth HNM and XP but its completly useless for rng on gods, the add from holy bolts will continue to do 1-5 dam. At least for Hume rng's.

Peace

Got these just now! I'm only level 72, but I'm really happy to have these, because at 75 these will help Chi Blast a ton!

Thanks Mjollnir!
I got these last night
# Jun 04 2005 at 1:21 PM Rating: Decent
I got these last night.
being a monk, this will help greatly with chi-blast, and nothing but chi-blast. When EXP i'd use dune boots.
But since monks only do Chi-blast on god battles, it is a good piece, make myself more useful to my LS, my buddies.

I think these are actually great for any of the jobs listed... they work great for WAR
RE: O_O
# Mar 11 2005 at 5:15 AM Rating: Decent
RNG can use these with Holy Bolts. +INT increases the light damage they do.
RE: O_O
# Apr 08 2007 at 1:48 AM Rating: Decent
Yeah, and, along with what the other person said, MND increases Holy Bolt damage, not INT.
RE: O_O
# Mar 23 2005 at 1:29 AM Rating: Decent
It doesn't give INT, it gives MND.
mnk
# Feb 14 2005 at 8:20 PM Rating: Decent
These can really be used by mnk's when killing gods. Chi-blast is based on MND and all mnk's do is Chi-blast :O
bst need mnd too

bst use mnd when they use pet food. You heal for more with more mnd in case people wondered what good 15 mnd would be for bst.
#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 10 2005 at 7:58 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This is Awsome for ninja Tanks, MND will increase the effect and streangth of Ninjutsu Spells, & Enfeebs such as Jubaku:Ichi, and reduces Spell interuption rate.

ok, don't post on things you really don't know about... Ninjitsu is based on INT... kthx

Don't forget INT and MND still help you even as a pure melee for magic defense... It plays a BIG role in it!
RE: INT/MND good for melee too
# Jan 09 2005 at 6:27 PM Rating: Default
Actually INT has absolutely nothing to do with Magical Defense only MND does.

Actually, you are wrong. MND only helps slightly with Magic Defense. The higher INT you have, the less DMG an offensive magic spell will do to you. There is a formula that checks your INT verses the casters INT. If your INT is higher than the casters, you take less DMG than someone else with less INT. That is also the same reason BLMs cast Burn (which lowers and enemies INT), before casting magic bursts or any heavy nukes. MND helps more with defensive type spells (Protect, Shell, etc.) and does help with resistance to debuffs (Silence, Sleep, Slow, etc.)

Actually if you want to get really picky about it, int determines the max damage that you will take, and your mnd determines what percentage you actually get hit with (50%, 25%, etc).
ninja tanks

WTF? I can think of a 1/2 dozen boots better for a ninja then this.

Fuma Kayan
Either of the level 70+ boots for Nin/sam/Mnk
The new level 72 boots

shall I go on.....

these are for monks in my humble opinion! subbing a mage class would make you almost as good as one of youre level. this set of armor is my dream armor!

im a mnk/war btw ;p
RE: re
# Jul 19 2004 at 3:01 PM Rating: Decent
Ideal for Monks, but almost as useful to Warrior tanks. 30 defense is 7-10def more than any other foot equip in the game.
So these add +15 MND and no mage class can use them..?

Not taking bards into consideration for this as they're not a bonafide mage class.... what the hell are these good for besides high defense if WHM's and BLM/WHM's can't use these? I suppose with my BST/WHM this might affect the potency of my cure spells, but what else is this good for?

MND helps MNKs with Chi Blast

MND helps RNGs with Holy Bolt additional damage

MND helps BSTs reward (granted the biggest difference is type of food and Reward+ gear, but MND does matter. Pet Food Zeta does a minimum of 350. I get around 488 with AF boots, body, and Ogre gloves. An Elvaan with Kirin's Osode in my LS doesn't use as much Reward+ as me and he gets around 540)

Also these are excellent for BST (that majority of which sub WHM). Extra MND means better Cure 3's, ect.

Tenzorhell--

Have you ever seen what a monk with +75 mnd can do with chiblast?

Holy crap! I never thought of that. I really only was thinking about my BST and how much this would help with my curing... but chi blast, whoa.
