Food Effects

  • HP +20
  • DEX +4
  • VIT +4
  • CHR +4
  • Attack* +50
  • Defense* +30
  • Double Attack* +5

    • These effects will be multiplied if two or more of the listed items are equipped. For example, if the Myochin Kote and Nobushi Kyahan were equipped, the food would give +100 Attack and +60 Defense rather than +50 and +30 (respectively).

every site i've been to..

Every site i've been to says the AF gloves + Roshi Jinpachi = double the effect of the food, in this case..

Shogun Riceball

Artifact
HP +20
Dexterity +4
Vitality +4
Charisma +4
Attack +50
Defense +30
Double Attack +5

AF + Roshi Jinpachi
HP +40
Dexterity +8
Vitality +8
Charisma +8
Attack +100
Defense +60
Double Attack +10

or would it just do the "Enhanced" part..

can anyone confirm this?
I have been lvln Sam for awhile and debating O.kotes or AFs

How rare are these?
# Oct 11 2005 at 1:49 PM Rating: Decent
these riceballs haven't appeared in a jeuno ah for weeks, not even the NQ riceballs have appeared. If anyone who has high level cooking in Midgardsormr can you please make me some, I'll pay for materials, crystals and everything, and I'll pay extra for the time occupied.

Rare:
As a level 100+ cook I made the rice balls for GP a while back. I made 4 stacks worth of materials and got one HQ rice ball.
If rice balls were GP item then the demand would shoot up since every cook with gil will be trying to turn them in for GP.
Also Note that the rice balls take Flint cavier which is used in many High level foods. If someone is making gil off of say t. tacos and putting the gil back into materials to continue making gil then the other cooks will have a harder time acquiring the materials to complete the synth.

Ochuidos Kote dousn't have as much attack, but you can eat chiefkabobs with it and it will have much more than SAM AF + rice balls.

Btw, just made one of these while skilling up.

was cooking lvl 91, waterday, first quarter moon, facing northwest, with advanced support.

I was wondering... Couldent you have AF Gloves on, eat the Rice Ball, then switch back to Ochidos Kote with the extra enhancement on? Not sure but that would be cool.

I get the most skill-ups facing east/southeast. I used to get 1-2 skill-ups per stack facing west, now I get 4-6 per stack.

This works for HQing stuff with fire crystals too.

Kote are at a lower level, and from what I have seen elsewhere, these riceballs are like 10k per single or something to that effect.

I plan on using Ochiudos Kote until lvl 56 when I get Sam AF gloves with Rice Ball effect.

My question is, does the Shogun & Tonosama Rice Balls give the same effect with the Sam AF gloves as it does with the Opo-Opo Crown?

Shogun Rice Ball: +45 Att, +32 Def, +8 Dble Att
Ochiudo's Kote: Att 20, Eva -5

Ochiudo's Kote aint worth it then? o.O

Heh, I finally checked in to this. You may or may not get a set of rogue rice balls if you forget to use the flint caviar ;).

In the posts for opo-opo crown it says that if you have that head piece equipped then you get crazy stats off the Shogun and Tonosama rice balls. Maybe it's not off the sam AF?

you get +45 to ATT and +32 to Def and a bonus of +8 to your double attack skill when eating a Rice Ball with the opo-opo crown.

I have to imagine this has some kind of uber effect when you have the samurai AF gear on.
