Ve'Lugannon Coffer Key

To get the map for this place your best bet is 1 shotting detectors, they have a 16min repop and so your best bet is to kill, move on to the next entrance and go in a circle until you get the key. The best way to do so is to one shot them, they are weak to thunder so im sure a BLM or RDM would have no trouble doing so.
The coffer is a differnt story, if you check FFXI Atlas you can see that one coffer will spawn in each zone except the 2 closest ones to the entrance. Two of the possible 9 spawn points however are behind a gate, locked by a yellow door. To get this door open you need to hit the yellow switch inside the zone closest to your right as you enter sky, number 10 on FFXI atlas map i believe. Once open you can get access to the last 2 coffers. What we did was have 2-3 people split up and check from left to right and from right to left, it took a while since someone popped the coffer while we were doing so but it worked in the end.

we need to work on getting ppl info on getting not only the key, but the coffer as well...
I haven't found anything much on the net, but if the coffer happens to be across a gate, good luck experimenting and finding out how to open it. the blue gate switch is a the east zip pop zone...the yellow gate...well maybe i'm too drunk to find it at the moment but i'm sick of trying to find out how to open the yellow gate at 2-1. I'd like to 'burst X' it.

Sinde it's pretty easy for jobs like BLM RDM and RNG or any job that can manage to one shot for 500 damage to get the key solo I'd figure I'd make a post on how to get the Coffer.
First of All you'll need this Map:

From here it's pretty much follow the map. I just work my may around counter clockwise until I find the coffer.
Most of the spawns you'll only need snk to get to. Except 6 and 5 which have mostly enkidu along the way and you'll need Invis. The way to go about getting the coffer key in 6 and 5 is this:
Go all the way down the path with invis until you get to the cermet door. get in the corner of the hall way drop invis, open the door, and see if enkidu is looking at the door or away from it. Keep opening door until he is looking away. once he is open door. Hit macro for Prizm Powder and run through then just wait until he is looking away from the coffer to drop invis and open it. Oh I forgot to mention make sure the coffer is in the room before going through this. You can open the door and tab around and see if you target the coffer.
I haven't opened a coffer yet except to get map and to help other get it. It's pretty safe as long as you pay attention. Good Luck

These can also summon other monsters to fight with them. Summons the same way mobs in Dynamis do.
