Word on the street is that the Happy egg has some hidden -enmity attributes....so mages may want to have this equipped, where as tanks may not....dont know if this is true, but you may want to take this under consideration when heading out to pt.
and the tooth fairy and santa are also related to the eggs. you get 1 free gil and a piece of rock salt for every mob you get... WOW

On the Asura server San D'oria is starting to get crazy! You can't even talk with your LS friends! Even in Yhoator Jungle in the outlands they try to sell those eggs! It's C R A Z Y!!!
I stupidly threw mine. I'm gonna do the quest one more time (Happy Egg) and then get lots of money. I got a Link Shell and it's called the "GilHunters" on the Unicorn server. Prices are cheap, but "F" is rare.

I made like 100k selling eggs I got like 130k now and start out with 20k before eggs came out and made like 110k so that is good but price went down alot to like 500
I have both of the Happy and Lucky eggs. My main is a Bard, so I can't really equip it while I'm leveling (you can't equip ammo with an instrument), but it's still a nice Trophy.
It's basically to say "Lookit me! I was here around Easter and did the Egg quests!"

Friday morning, the egg market was really booming on the Valefor server. The going price was about 2000 gil. However, as the day went on, prices kept droping lower and lower. Now the going price is between 800 to 1200 gil. F's are rare in Valefor, too. They only go for about 4000, though.
Overall, I made about 30,000 gil selling eggs. I would've made even more if I hadn't traded them in for the Happy Egg (or gotten sick of selling them at the end and lowered my prices WAY down just to get rid of the darn things). Unless the Happy Egg really appeals to you, don't bother trying to get it...

I got mine after 6k and an hour of wheeling n dealing.
On Ragnarok, the eggs average 800-1.5gil. Except "F" which is up to around 8-14k.
Found someone willing to trade it to me for crappy ones but always someone bought it from their bazaar, till i got lucky and found some afk guy away from the crowds with it for 1k.

I am sure that many of you noticed that you can make a load of gil trading these eggs, I made about 12k in 15 minutes. Is it really worth it to go and get eggs which are weaker than any bow? And nobody ever answered the question of what you do with your candy drops. I got the green drop but I noticed another guy had a yellow drop and a red drop.
Does anyone know if it's transferable? I know some special quest items in the past are not.
I have Both the eggs and they are both Rare Ex so get working on the egg hunt NOW!

I don't think it is. It is an "Ex" item... Since the halloween items aren't transferable, I'd guess that these eggs aren't either...

I got Lucky and Happy eggs :). But what do the Blue drops and Red Drops etc. etc. do?

To a previous posts on what each has for attributes
Happy Egg: +1% Hit Point Max Total, +1 VIT
Lucky Egg: +1% Magic Point Max Total, +1 VIT
Not really a noticeable increase at lower levels but you do see it at higher levels. They are good for those that don't use Ranged Weapons or carry other types of Ammo Type Items. But if ya have something better than these than obviously you use those instead of the eggs. ^ ^

This egg can be thrown...One of my LS mate did it out of curiousity and lost it. You can also mine these letter eggs in all places where you can mine ores. You can only mine up one of them a day. I got my "Happy" and "Lucky" eggs. Thank god! I'm done with the major lag with millions of people swarming and spamming out trades....LoL! Crazyiness! But it's fun ^ ^
What does the lucky egg do?
First 3:
Give 3 eggs with the first 3 letters of your character's name. [i.e. Asphe => A, S & P]
Happy Egg:
Give 8 eggs in alphabetical order, beginning with the first letter of your name. [i.e. Asphe? ABCDEFGH, if your name is Xyran, then it's XYZABCDE]
Lucky Egg:
Give 7 eggs, all of the same letter. [Lucky 7 :)]

I don't think it can be thrown, judging by the fact that there's no damage number (throwing items will say Damage:X just like other weapons.)

There is a damage number though, it's 1, and the delay is 777. So you should be able to throw it... and therefore I suggest disabling the ctrl+d shortcut in the game config if you still have it active, or you may accidently lose this.
where do u get the mini game to do this??
I'm fairly sure that you must do the first egg mini-quest first, that being the first 3 letters of your character's name.
My character is Magicker, I traded the moogle M-A-G eggs and got 2 free chocobo passes, then traded my eggs around some and got M-N-O-P-Q-R-S-T (First letter of your name, and then the next 7 letters of the alphabet). When I traded those to the moogle, I got my happy egg.

man, it is sooo confused, i got all eggs for the name, but the moggle didn;t give the happy egg to me, how does it work? can some one explain it?

It is a throw item. But as Maarilith said, it's better to hold it than to throw it..
You don't throw it. You keep it in your slot and it gives you the attributes it explains

its not food, its a thrown weapon, at least i think so. I would hate to accidentally throw mine ><
