I'm standing here in an area controlled by another nation, and I'm not getting the +4 CHR bonus. Any idea why not?

Did you have signet on?

If not: any gear with inside/outside own nation effects require you to have signet.

If you did: no clue^^;

Sartans VS TMH+2 VS CC

Spartans... u do notice slightly higher dmg per hit, but with TMH+2 u hit much much quicker, with slightly lower dmg, great for EXP parties where speed counts to bring in the chains , as for the Cross counters, these are slightly slower than TMH+2 , but are still much faster IMO than spartans, and they put out the same amount of dmg, but prices are high, so the best bang for your gil would be the TMH+2 , with a woodsman ring... snipers ring.... TMH+2 -10 def , SniperX2 -20 = -30 def total, ouch =X

CC=ballista OWNAGE weapons, and with haste added, great EXP pt weapons, without. hmm still pretty good but...
TMH+2=EXP pt weapon of choice
Spartans=for that SATA to start a fight , lol, then switch out to TMH+2 :O

The + chr. Yes I know bst can equip them but doubt the ever would.
my two cents
# Sep 11 2005 at 11:40 AM Rating: Excellent
as a 60 taru mnk i use these over the spartans but only because im taru and the +10 attack might be better for me.
but the real question is do you want do you want to do? hit harder per hit and hit more for weapon skills (spartan) or be more of a DoT hitting a little faster its up to you.....

This IMO is the best dmg/delay hth weapon in the game, the +10 atk is nice bonus (+4 chr outside of own areas~ soso)

I had CC, spartan, vishnu's

off all these I use TMH+2 and will never change. Unless I get Spharai.

another humble galka's opinion

I picked up a pair of these 2night (even though im only lvl 18 lol) . How long should these be used for. Saw the post about the spartins or whatever so at least 2 lvl 58 but if I dont want the spartians whats the next H2H weapon 2 get?
RE: How long?
# Sep 07 2005 at 5:51 PM Rating: Default
forever, u never get rid of these babys, there are a bunch of H2h weopons to choose from that u will keep forever, starting at lvl 50 they appear, CC is one of them, T.M hooks is one. in m opinion TM hooks+2 are THE BEST BY FAR to take to the end..unless u get relic ofcourse
which is better
# Jun 07 2005 at 12:04 PM Rating: Decent
i have these and the spartan cestis and i dont know which to use. my friend who is a lvl 75 monk says he doesn't like the spartans because of their rediculus delay, and he says these are better in his opinion. what is everyone elses opinion? spartans at 58, or stick with these?

The recipe provided is correct, no smithing is required.

On the Sylph server, the ingredients go for about 100k, but the item sells for 700k, thus I attempted to get these crafted. I contracted a level 100+3 boneworker who told me that her success rate was 1/5, hence the price.

So far I'm 0/1, but no demon horns are left on the AH so i'll have to wait. These are indeed great weapons though, my friend (a mnk75) said that he was able to easily take them straight through to the end and at 1.6 million, the Spartan Cesti is an outrageous choice despite the damage.

wow your servers really suck. these have sold consistantly for 300K on Titan. there was one pair that went for 1.1 mil about a month ago, but the last sale was only 500K (and damn me for only being willing to spend 400K on them ><)
time to hit up my bonecrafting friends..keep your fingers crossed lol.

Just wanted to add on this that I had a friend craft these last night...After much frustration "camping" the AH for these and finding that the prices went from 800k to 1mil to 1.1mil then the last ones available I bid up to 1.3mil and no sale, I talked to him over ls chat and he said he would try them out (he is bone 100+3) and when I woke up this morning I found a signed pair on my delivery box from him...It only took him one try too, so technically he is 1/1 on these, and I am quite happy now to have them.

damage calculations change

Damage calculation of the following weapons has been adjusted. Damage will now be more directly related to the attacker's STR and the defender's VIT.

...... / Tactician Magician's Hooks +1 / Tactician Magician's Hooks +2 /.......

This info was taken from the Sept. 14 2004 update info on this link.

The only other widely used HtH weapons listed were the Tourney Patas.

If you are debating the usefulness of certain pieces of +ATT equipment versus +STR items, this might help you make the right decision for your setup. Consider also that our most used weaponskills have their damage modified by STR, and a strong argument can be made for Enkylado's Bracelets over Ochiudo's Kote when these are your weapons.

At 100 Bonecraft; there's about a 1/3 chance of making these, it requires an uknown amount of Smithing for suport; I'd assume about 50~60.

Hmm i know someone that has 100+3 and would get imagry also, think its worth it? And about the smithing are you sure? I really dont have the gil to get a fail and have to try again or wait for a pair of +1 to go up ; ;. Man this sucks <.>

are you 100% sure a 50-60 smithing is also required to make this synth? i know 3 100bonecrafters on my server but the one in my LS doesnt have smithing for sub ><

This is a great weapon, if you can get a hold of one, that is. The +1 DMG and -10 delay from the TM hooks+1 is a good improvement. I've heard people compare these to Spartan Cesti; i'm not sure if they're quite as good but considering these are available at level 52, they'll hold you over nicely. (unless your rich and have Cross-counters :P)

On Unicorn these sell roughly once every 2 weeks, hopefully I can the next ones.

Where can you fish these up? What lure/bait did you do it with???

I highly doubt these can be fished up. As with all upgraded conquest items, it requires a certain level of skill in the appropriate craft. As I understand it, you need about 95 in blacksmithing to craft Tactician Magician's Hooks +1 and +2.

This is most defiantley NOT an item that can be fished up. It's an upgraded Conquest Item with the +2 being the H.Q. . I believe it's a bone synth, don't quote me on that as I've yet to find the actual recipe.. I've heard rumor that the recipe can be found on MysteryTour... but once again, not sure.
