too much gil

Yes i too love these fireworks, and the skill up's i get from crafting them. But it is a shame i cant make my own rainbow thread, it's 60-70k for a single and 700-800k for a 12 pack of rainbow thread on my server(Remora). Fireworks take long to sell in AH, i dont lose gil and i dont make it either. Just takes forever to get my gil that i spent on them back. But when i use it i think my taru drank a red bull ^.^ lmao

Have yet to make these as rainbow thread was expensive enough pre AH freak out at Christmas and now it's just an insane proposition to make them.

Personally I think these look best when used by a taru, but then again I may be biased. It also is pretty good when used as a celebration when you level

Why does the fashion shot have to have a male hume with subligar? barf!

I think this item is a much better item to skill up on than cannon shells unless you want to skill up gold and smithing to make other things (which is a good idea). I know I lost gil on cannon shells. I figured out that there was a slight profit on these when i made papillons. (maybe that profit margin is gone if rainbow thread went up). So despite all your gil being tied up in fireworks you wont lose as much gil in the long run. I have sold all the Papillions Ive made and it didnt even take a year. I did give a few away to friends and I did use some for celebrations. They sell best as singles. It helps if you have 4 mules (one in each nation) and put one up at the AH at a time at each one and set up a afk bazaar somewhere. Fireworks are always the best selling items in my bazaar. People just like fireworks. ^^

ah, just make platinum nuggets. lol

Cost & Concern
# Apr 04 2005 at 4:26 PM Rating: Default
Dear firecracker Lovers;

I would like to share about my opinions about this item. I am currently LVLing off this synthesis. This is the Cost:

Rainbow Thread (25,000G)
Insect Wingsx2 (200G)
Artificial Lens (2000G)
Prism Powder (1000G)

the total cost is roughly 28,000G/33, which is about 850G one firecracker regardless of crystals' price. I sold few stacks recently on Jeuno AH for 20,000G >.<`; To be Honest, I hate this synthesis. IF anyone is really interested in THIS Beauty, I would love to supply some. Please, Be reasonable when we are talking about price. I Also have a MULE called Xtorm in Windurst Woods selling Papillions @ 825G. I wish I can get over this synthesis as soon as possible. And btw, Inflation is a horrible thing.

Diabolos: Xstorm (THF)
Alchemy 92.6(+2) Smithing 41.8

YAY!

That's exactly what I've been looking for.

I knew these items existed and that they were fireworks, but I had no idea they showed off a pair of butterfly wings. I thought you just shot them in the air like the other fireworks.

I was a little upset that there wasn't a piece of armor that had butterfly decorations for me to wear, but now I can just use these. That's a perfect fit for yours truly.

Here we go...

I mean really, there should be no other picture on this page than Papillon using a papillion.

I'm working on making videos of all the fireworks to help me pick out which ones to use in the fireworks display for my linkshell's 6 month anniversary.
So if you would like to see a video of this you can go to:

Hello, I Play on the Unicorn server and am looking to buy some of these. I have a few left from last Christmas but would like a few more. If you see me on Unicorn then just /tell Melphina ^^

Oh and another note, this recipie I feel is actually very reasonable considering its skill trivial lvl 97. My linkshell in game is Craftaru and we focus on crafting as you would assume. I looked at the other recipies for lvl 95+ and as was mentioned this is the cheapest way to skillup to 97. Its also expendable, rather than durable. Thats very nice IMHO. Furthermore on Unicorn server a single sells on any AH for 1k. If you make a stack and sell at 70K which I would find reasonable you make 20K profit per. Add the occasional lucky +1 or even +2 (rare) (66 and 99 respectively) and there ya have it. There are very rich people out there willing to buy these I'm sure. I think this is the coolest firework of em all. Who wouldn't want butterfly wings ^^

If you ask me, considering what the papillion is/does its the perfect recipie. very ingenious.
And as was mentioned 50K to make a stack is actually a resonable price since it will get skillups to 97 and is such a high end item. If you can make em and find a market, I say, go for it.

You expect a level 97 cap recipe to cost....how much, exactly?

Rainbow Thread costs 14K on siren. This is very much the cheapest 95+ alchemy recipe in existence.
I HAVE THE RECIPIE (I think)

I frequently hold Fireworks displays on Queztacoatl Papippilion is usually not included in my show for the lack of showmanship. I have found no other use for these but entertainment. (also a good way to recruit for an LS, it gets there attention) I enjoy the fireworks alot as well as the rest of the people that watch my shows. Look for me on the Q.
