Well,if it's true that this works with Drag subbed,it makes it completely useless.Subbing Drag is like subbing Warrior for a White Mage,you just don't do it.Completely worthless item.
Hey man, I spent 31 lvs as a whm/war before switching to a drk/war. I never had any problems with mp, and i could contribute to melee better than most melee jobs (with a hammer anyway). As long as I had a good tank then there are no problems (but then again, I always have good tanks, inferior players get the boot from my parties.)
TY Pevie, thats exactly my point. I'm not a fan of cookie cutter characters. For the others who felt it necessary to flame, do you think i would have been able to get it even to 31 if i couldnt keep a pt alive?
all i got to say to this is i started out as whm/mnk and never had probs no matter how much peeps ******* initially about it it all comes down to how good the mage is at managin their mp and knowing when to rest and all. not mention made it so others didnt panic and neither did i when got the hate .
LMFAO you prefer berzerk to mp, mnd, int, spells, and USEFULL abilities?

I find that HILLARIOUS You say inferious players get booted from your pts, but you ARE DOING MORE THAN THE MELEES??? YOUR MELEES MUST SUCK MAJOR ***.
Maybe its being a Whm/War that makes you get only the most desperate people into your pts, therefore making you think that you get good people, when theyre only next to worst.
I mean seriously, maybe Whm/War in the Dunes or something, but lvl 31?? And outdamaging melees at lvl 31???
Wrong in a sense smn's can melee im a smn (43) Granted our over all melee damge isnt great but why do we want it for?! WE DONT we just want the weapons skills to chain off of our avatars.. lets say lvl 26smn with a 13/blm ifrits punch - heavy swing = fusion - fire = mb rough 50 dmg along with the 30 we get from fusion the 40 we got from HW and the 180+ with punch.. at lvl 26 solo doing 300 dmg not on firesday to increase ifrits attack no attack food weapon skill not capped and a crappy staff is alot better then what other jobs can do for DD its fun to watch a pts jaw drop when you get bored go into "attack" mode walk up to the mob pop a icarus wing and unlease a 200 dmg skillchain on a it mob alone and it just adds when the rdm or blm's catch on and decide to burst after the smn / avatar skill chain then a normal weapon skill chain. Granted in higher lvls it wont, work youll pull quite a bit of hate off of lvl 2-3 skill chains on your own (min of 600dmg). But still fun either way :)
SMN = Magical Damage.... I don't know if you meant we don't whack at things, or don't do damage, but either way... SMN should be DDs above Healing and above (of course) WHM DDs
actaully it wouldn't. 1BLM would contribute next to no MP, and no other stats at all. The points he made about melee are valid, as long as he isn't getting hit by AoE. Personally I'd much rather have a WHM/SMN as main healer, but if he could keep up with healing, and the party could still chain, that's all that matters.
and no, Sir.....there is melee and mage classes, melee in front to beat the sh*t outta the mobs, and mages in 2nd row. BLM sub adds MP+STATS+ABILITIES+spells. I sure as hell wanna see my WHM use berserk ... ... -_- (saw my RDM use soul eater just to miss even more on raptors)...mages should be busy casting spells (healing/debuff/attack) according to their class, when finished with that they should take a med to regain as much mp as possible...not try to give the mob some extra TP with swings that only they would call great...
What's the point in this earing? Having DRG as a subjob is kind of worthless, right? Are there people out there willing to sub DRG just to have this earing?
Does make sense since it is called Wyvern earring. And the above post I don't think so if it was like that woundn't it be drg only or something like ehh nevermind.
SackofRice. You're wrong, latent effect means Hidden (more like special-requirement) effect or Special circumstances that must be met to obtain the effect. It can either be low hp or a subjob as these new items. So enough with the confusion :o.
You're wrong, it doesn't apply to all the latent effects. Check this thread for the most information about latent effects and how to make them kick in :
