I would love to have these so much!!! MNK leg gear is for the most part a very weak slot, and since i've hardly touched Sky yet I don't have a good chance getting Byakko/Shura any time soon. I do have Dynamis-Sandoria coming up though, maybe i'll get lucky! All I know is i've been wearing Republic Subligar for 50 levels now, lol. These would also give me about 110 extra HP.

last weekend in Dynamis-Sandy only drop of the day was the Melee Pants. i lotted a 54 on my Melee Pants (._.), and the guy who got it lotted a 312, needless to say, i wasnt too happy >.< they're worthwhile in my opinion, some people dont give these pants much credit

Real monks merit counter. But fyi the +5 is +5%. That goes for all items in this game...including magic atk bonus, counter, store tp, etc.
kick attacks

my only question ( i got these last tuesday waiting till 72 to put on) is do these increase kick attacks frequency because thats what i would guess that they do. they are leg gear and also i have dune boots so my kick attack damage will be sick too. so im guessing and hoping that kick attacks+ 5 makes me kick an insane amount.

I just got these recently. I swap them in with my Shura Haidate, and I honestly believe that it increased my Kick Attack frequency. Ya never know about hidden effects, but it sure seemed like I was kicking a lot more. YES, Dune Boots are the BEST to wear with these. Merits put into Kick Attacks help as well. ^^

Melee Gear is like the best for soloing too, specially with /nin.

A lvl 75 galka MNK with JUST all the melee equipment, would have an incredible 2307 HP...

75MNK/37WAR I have 1749 HP (before merits, I have
HP+40 from merits).

All HP+__% effects from gear/food/etc are added up and
look at your HP AFTER other HP+__ food, gear, and merits.

Therefore a 75MNK/37WAR with no merits/food wearing only
the relic gear would have:

1749 * 1.23 = 2151.27 = 2151 HP

with my HP+40 from merits I have

(1749 + 40) * 1.23 = 2200.47 = 2200 HP

Which indeed is how much I have.

Merits.....: HP+80
Weapon..: Senior Gold Musketeer's Rod: HP+25
Ammo....: Fenrir's Stone: daytime: HP+30
Neck....: Shield Pendant: HP+20
Ear1....: Pigeon Earring +1: HP+25
Ear2....: Bloodbead Earring: HP+25
Ring1...: Bomb Queen Ring: HP+75
or........Getsul Ring: Enchantment HP+20%
Ring2...: Bloodbead Ring: HP+50
Back....: Gigant Mantle: HP+80
Waist...: Desert Sash: HP+30

Standing HP (no enchantment items):
1749+80+25+30+20+25+25+75+50+80+30= 2189 * 1.23 = 2692.47 = 2692 HP

Getsul Ring
1749+80+25+30+20+25+25+75+80+30= 2139 * 1.43 = 3058.77 = 3058 HP

using Enchantment is lame though.

Food: Carbonara +1: HP+14%, cap is +180HP

2692 HP + 180 = 2872 HP

Getsul Ring
3058 HP + 180 = 3238 HP

If you use that Balista HP+100% food instead you'll get
~5384 and ~6116 hp respectively.

I consider the two standing HP ones (food and no food) to be the important ones (2692HP and 2872HP)

I wonder if a galka 75 monk can break 2,500 with other hp+ items equipped.
That would be insane to see lol.

I think its actually possible to get near 3,000 with ever piece of the best HP+ gear you can get. Then just imagine... pop a giants drink in ballista and be up to around 6,000! 0.0

if i'm ever filthy rich, i'll do that lol.

it was a while back, but i saw a picture of a mithra monk in full af2 (didnt show gear) had just barely broken 3k (was like 3007 or something) so if a mithra can, id bet a galka could come closer to 3.5 maybe even 4

I've seen questions about stuble blow, to clear it up it reduces the amount of TP a mob gets not you.

Is it just me, or is the description the same as the melee gaiters, while the picture shows something different?
