Your all wrong, these pants shorten the time it takes to SUMMON an avatar. With these on it takes roughly 1 second less to summon them. Being as the elemental avatars dont even have casting times on their spells, only the SPIRITS, it makes no sense to anything your saying. Was a SMN75 for 3 years with these, I know what they do.

People need to do testing before making stuff up.

http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Template:Spirit_Spell_Casting_Time

-5 seconds to Spirits casting times.

Link provides other information on how to determine your spirit's casting time.

well its not really summoning faster, these pants means spirits casting faster and faster bloodpact timers as well as a nice mp and mnd boost. The only good summoner specific thing about the AF1 pants is the added avatar accuracy, and by the time you're able to wear these pants, accuracy is generally not a big problem.
AF is better >.>

I always thought higher level equip was better than lower ones.. but the AF pants seem way better than these.

AF:
Avatar ACC
Eva +10
Enmity -2
MP + 15

Relic legs:
BP - 2
MND + 3
MP + 20

Summoning faster is really nice but I don't think it's worth it. Except maybe as swap equipment =\
Actually....Hard to beat

These do not shorten the casting time for those avatars, and i know because i have had these for a year now. Avatars don't have timers, spirits do however have a timer on which they cast spells based on your summoning skill. These pants shorten the time it takes for your spirits to cast by about 5 seconds.

These would be better than the zenith slacks for a summoner. Any zenith you wear, relic will be better for summoner because zenith does not offer you anything to improve your avatars. The only thing besides AF and relic that lets you strengthen your avatar performance is merits. The +3 mind on these is also nice for spirit taker. So these legs contain 4 useful bonuses.

+mp...

-Bloodpact timer.....

-Spirit timer.....

+3mnd for better staff weaponskills (mnd is calculated in both spirit taker and retribution)

I guess you could say these pants have the effect of hasting your avatar's recast timers for their abilities (BP and spirit timers)

Ok i am a lvl 70 smn and was wondering if these would be better than zenith slacks? please respond
spirits

It shortens cast time on spirits only. Avatars are not affected by this stat.

No. It shortens the casting time on the avatars, not the spirits. Fenrir, Diabolos, and Carbuncle are not included.
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 25 2005 at 10:37 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) it does shorten casting time on elemental avatrs as it says,,, this piec eis common and ive seen it tested.,,, if you knew anything about SMN you would know which avatars are Elemental and territial.
Casting time o.ô

does it shortens the casting time for spirits ( fire spirit, ice spirit) or for avatars ( garuda , ramuh) ?

It shortens the casting time for Shiva, Ifrit, Ramuh, Titan, Leviathan, and Garuda. Carbuncle and Fenrir are terrestrial avatars, not elemental avatars, so it does not shorten their casting time. And spirits are not avatars, they are just spirits.

There's not a damned thing wrong with Blue. And yes, who gives two ***** about the color when the stats are that good?
Awesome color

This color rocks, I don't know what you're talking about. I saw a Taru called Littlemountain on Fairy in it. Maybe it just looks good on Taru, good news for me :)

*gag* I've seen someone with this on my server, an actually the Summoner's relic body piece too, and the color is so funky O_o

It's like this really tweeked out blue color. I've heard stories that relic armor wouldn't be worn if it weren't for its ungodly stats because it looks horrid, dang they're right (IMO).

Just my thoughts, if you like it by all means enjoy it, I'd wear it too if the stats rule, but what was SE thinking when making those colors O_O

So far the only relic I've seen that looks nice is the DRG relic. ^_^ NIN relic looks the same, saw an NIN in full relic before, kinda the same old color.

About the color of the NIN relic: you're probably thinking of the Rasetsu set. The NIN relic set is this really ugly red color. IMO, the ugliest of the relic sets. BLM relic, on the other hand, looks awesome; waaaay better than the normal AF. PLD, SAM, and DRK relic sets look damn cool too.

EDIT: I guess the NIN AF2 set just sorta grows on you. I actually like it now, it actually looks quite nice on females, though not on males (same as the normal AF set, lol).
