well, if it's possible to even attempt it at level 40, it cannot be higher than level 52, 12 levels below is the highest i have ever been allowed to attempt a synth.

failed 12 times and lost 2 boomerangs at lvl 40 skill. Had support and it was fire day. if the cap were 44 I would have succeeded at least once.
