hmm...i wonder if it's possible to do skillchains with RWS's...this is an awesome awesome sword. Knights of the Round was an awesome summon magic in FFVII. i'm pretty far away from 75 so the goal to get this sword is put on hold lol but i want this when i get to 75 definitely lol. awesome awesome sword

yeh sure, u better start saving now, cause 900million gil {Do You Have It} i mean cmon yeh this sword rocks, but unless ure gna buy the gil through RMT or your gna be farming at least a year just to get even close to 900mil so yeh, goodluck with that :D
Bramd on the Quetzalcoatl server has this sword. Saw him in Behemoth's Dominion with it the other day and took a screenshot of it.

You know what cracks me up, a lv100 crafter who can easily make 10mil per synth just buy all theyre surrency without even blinking. If a lv100+3 smithy ever crafted a Cursed Hauberk -1, he will have made a 450mil profil as it goes for 500mil on my server (asura). By the way this is the way im planning on getting mine, except not that cheaply. Instead i want to use my gil to sponsor dynamis, that way my LS fan farm AF2 while i work on my weapon.

What? There's no one making 10mil profit per synth anywhere on NQ synths. It would never happen under any circumstances ever, because if someone found a NQ synth they could make even close to that much profit then 2 things would happen:
1. The people selling the ingredients will raise their prices.
2. Other crafters will start doing it too and your price will have to be competitive with thiers.
The only way to make that kind of gil is on HQ synths and to HQ an item that will get you 10mil profit you have to remember a few things. The HQ rates on high level synths are very low, and you will have to sell a lot of NQ's at little or even no profit to get your HQ. What is worse is that the more synths it takes to get your HQ, the more chances you have of your synth failing and you will lose some of your ingredients. Also you need to keep in mind that expensive synths require rare ingredients. You can't just grab a stack of 99 Venemous Claws and start crafting away at Scorpion Harnesses to your heart's content. There just isn't enough supply for that, and if there was then a Scorpion Harness wouldn't make you any money because they would be everywhere, people would prolly even be selling them to a NPC because they would have so many.
I'm not saying you can't make gil crafting, but certainly not in the way you are imagining. If someone is telling you they make 10 mil per synth then they are probably using crafting as a fence to launder the gil they are getting in a less than legitamate manner.
Edit: and Farming your own ingredients wouldn't make any differnce at all. If you farm the ingredients to make a 10 mil NQ synth and you sell it for 10mil you didn't make more profit than if you just sold the ingredients on the AH. The fact that you crafted them didn't make the 10mil, the farming did. The advantage of you crafting it was that you had a chance at a HQ.

The fact that he said a lv 100 crafter and 10mil proftis synth would make you think an HQ synth. Please read more carefully. Most of us understand the idea of AH prices and what makes them go up and down. He was making a comment on how he plans to get the weapon, not how he plans to make 10m on an NQ synth.

I'm currently on stage 3 of this (The Dynamis Sword) with 1162/6100 shells. Its been a bit of work and about 6 months of time, though thats mainly because im not the main sponsor in my LS unfortunately.
The weapons are all superb and worthwhile but 2 big words of advice I could give to any upgraders are:
1) Gather all the currency you need for stages 1 and 2 but dont actually upgrade them yet. Reason being is, stage 1 and 2 tend to go by easily and you get all excited but then most people hit stage 3 and give up, lots of wasted currency that way >.<. And believe me, it may look cool to have Militant Knuckles or a Glyptic Sword but they all suck, and you can live w/o them for a time being.
2) Once you hit stage 3 (or even prior to it really) try to establish trading partners, those who have good sponsorship standing in their own LS's and will trade you the currency you need for what they need. That way you can sponsor every single dynamis and be making progress, thats really the only reason I already have 1162 shells >.>
Really can't wait til this sucker is done, though it probably wwont be til like september at my current rate ; ;

i neeeeed this sword its uber cool its the best sword ever i think and it would pawn in ballista PLD/NIN with this and dainsalf would own every one but its pain in *** to make but the PLD with this is a god

According to various sources I've come across.. Excalibur, along with all (if not, most) fully upgraded relic weaponry, have various hidden stats that seem normal for weapons.. though place them on a completely different level. If I remember correctly about info I've read about Excalibur from an LS web site.. Discordian had said that this weapon has decent accuracy and decent-to-good critical rates.. yet the accuracy of the weapon skill itself is low-to-decent. Of course, this isn't all that was listed, but I can't remember all the details. All of the relic WSs do have hidden effect(s) that can kick in after using it, though not all the time (Excalibur's being a regen effect and a rare and very short invincibility). So even relic weapons and their WSs can miss or not give you that extra effect (for those who still think that they're infinitely perfect). I have a vid of Discordian using Excalibur in a party (to help others on G1) against the Boreal Hound. I'm willing to send it to people, though it's not easy to just up and post it somewhere (~8.8 MB file size). I'll admit, however, that this sword is definitely worth getting if you want to spend the time and gil to get it.
On a side note, I've come to find out that all relic weapons require a 10k-piece version of the first commission piece, as well as fragment from the Animated weapon-type, shard of necropsyche, and the fourth level weapon. I've posted some info that I've found out on the necropsyche page, though not much. For now, I'll continue my search for more information on each of the relic weapons...

The fact that someone has this sword only tells me that they dont have much else to do in life. People that dedicate there life to this game are entitled to do so but there is so much more to life then a GAME. I play for fun when I can and I have come to the conclusion that I will mostly likely never see this sword in my posession. On a more pessetive not this sword is Gorgeous. And it abilities are just unreal. Good Luck to anyone who takes the ginormous amount of time out of thier life to get this sword!
yea.. a galka paladin with this sword, a white mage and lets say a dark knight.. unstopable can prolly kill any mob in the game if have rdm to refresh (except stuff like kirin of course ^^)
OK look you don't know anything about this sword either obviously the additional effect is 1/4 your hp as added damage so say you hit for 100 damage and had 1000 hp it would show up as
"<your name> hits <the mob> for 100 points of damage!"
"Additional effect: 250 points of damage!"
so get it right

I love how these people make assupmtions, when in fact they know nothing about it. "Anyways, the ability is really straightforward, I don't see how so many people can't understand this." "DMG proportionate to current HP means whatever your current HP is at the time of activation is how much extra damage is added on". Hypocritical much? To activate all of the animated weapons (make them speak, spawn satellite weapons, and drop their respective shard when defeated) you have to kill the 15 demon NMs (this is in dynamis-xarcabard of course, and there's 1 demon for every job). You'll get a message in your chat log that says something like the souls have been set free, that's how you know you can kill the weapons and get the drop.

No.. the pics aren't the same, the angles don't match up. Same person, but completely different pics.
I submitted a screenshot with it a long time ago but they must have lost it.
Confrimed additional effect is 1/4 your current hp in damage. so its like "you" hit mob for 100 damage Additional effect 500 if your hp is at 2k

no... Elweed (spelling?) a PLD on Phoenix, from Feather got this before Disco. El is in the same LS (Feather) as the first person to get the Apocalypse (Deathknight) and the first person to get Aegis. (no clue of name on the person)

Considering most people have more playtime than that, I don't think I'd consider that to be "NO LIFE", or 3000+ gaming hours.
As long as you have the Dynamis LS and gil to fund it, it's not that hard to obtain. On Remora, I know there are two people with Caliburn (the state before Excalibur), one JP and the other NA (a friend of mine from my Dynamis LS). I know three people who are on the third state of Relic Horn, one of which already has the Attestation of Harmony for it. I, myself, have an Attestation of Sacrifice for the Mjollnir (club), which I plan on upgrading as soon as I'm done helping my boyfriend with his currently-third-stage Relic Horn.
Point is: it's not really as hard as everyone thinks. It's time-consuming, and gil-consuming, but not to the point where it's unrealistic. (^.^)b

OMG! you get 600 per run?!?!?!?! My LS is LUCKY if they get even close to 300!! oh wow.... I wish we got 600+ per run ; ;
He said they get 600 in 1 week and 1 week = 2 runs so that means about 300 or so a run.

good find. i like being able to see all the RWS's but i wish the movies weren't so choppy.
You could make two swords if you wanted to but you could only make 1 Excalibur as its a rare item and have a backup usless Caliburn. If you want to dual weild swords offhand a Company Sword or Joyeuse for the extra WS damage.
