I must say these pants are great so summoner!! omg more mp! sweet and indeed if you are to use these pants over AF pants. u do lose the -enmity and avatar accuracy but come on u stand to gain mind and some good def. Go merit your avatar accuracy. Losing the - enmity isnt a bad thing in soloing

Well then...

Well done on shutting up these people... who haven't made an argument concerning this topic since May 2005. And so eloquent, as well.

Good show.
AF/Errant or Zenith?
# Dec 12 2005 at 1:19 AM Rating: Decent
I looked into the jobs that could benefit from these and quite honestly they are trash compared to AF and Errant pants. WHMs are better off with JSE, BLMs with Errant, JSE and AF, SMNs AF cannot beat that, BRDs JSE or Errant if they cannot afford the JSE, and there is plenty of stuff for RDM that is more useful than these. Maybe galka mages might find the added MP more helpful but they will be sacrificing a lot of good stats just to get that MP bonus. Definitely not worth wasting the gil.

I disagree with you. At least for brd these are the best set of pants from amoung the ones you named.

I lose 3 or4 chr (changing from errant/jse) but gain 50 mp.

Now if you were compairing these to af +1 legs... (+ 8 wind O.O)

Yeah, I'd go with the Errant's as BLM/BST over these.
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 10 2005 at 6:30 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Good choice of pants for BRD also. Especially with MND, CHR, and MP+. On my BRD, I pretty much look for anything that adds CHR and MP.

got the abjuration. but hahahaha will I ever afford the 3,000,000-4,000,000 to uncurse them? :o nope ;;
Low HP

Between these and the rest of the Zenith gear, a Serkets ring, and an astral...

ROTF...theyll have like 300 hp at level 75 if their taru haha
Don't forget Rdms.
# Apr 01 2005 at 3:46 PM Rating: Decent

These Legs are also good for Red Mages.

The Mind is a needed stat for Rdms who throw out a lot of Paralyze and slow spells, and the MP/HP 50 point swap allows them to come closer to a 1 for 1 convert ratio in HPs to MP.

Thus fewer wasted HP for converts.
RE: Don't forget Rdms.
# Oct 16 2005 at 2:30 AM Rating: Decent
I'm a red mage, I -strongly- disagree with this argument. Just like the astral aspis, the MP boost is great to look at... but ANY red mage worth his salt is macro swapping anyway, and since you should be using elemental staves, the bonus from aspis is lost after convert. The same applies for these pants. 50 MP is very nice for convert, but after the MP is used - the pants are worthless.

If you want MND, use errant. You get 7 MND and -3 Emnity vs 4 and -3 Evasion. These are not worth paying 2-4 million as a red mage to uncurse in most circumstances.

These are good for non Taru WHM and is a popular leg equipment for many WHM.

The MND is nice but a pretty useless stat for a WHM who won't be enfeebling to any appreciable degree anyways.

AF2 pants 'Cleric's Pantaloons' is definately better for most WHM who has it, except for maybe Galka's who has the HP to spare and wouldn't mind the evasion penalty.

MND a worthless stat O.o You're a 75 whm you should know that MND controls your Cure V. If you do ANY sort of HNM of God events you should know that Cure V is a life saver

dont really like these that much

the 50 mp is nice, but id almost rather have the +15 dark magic skill from af1 pants, would easily rather have the AF2 pants

Errant is much better for BLMs. But they'll basically be last in line for these anyways in most shells.. they usually go to WHMs and BRDs first.

Actually you're incorrect. According to a recent interview with the FFXI team designers, they stated that the H in HNM stands for "High-Level".

Umm... Isn't HNM a player term? Why would the "FFXI team designers" (whatever that is) have a say in what a player term stands for? I've never heard Tiamat or Jormungand or Kirin or any monster referred to in game as HNM by the game environment (NPCs, Cutscenes, etc.) Notorious Monster is in the autotranslator, but no variations of it.

All abjuration armor is lvl73

Abjuration armor is (for those who don't allready know), an cursed item that you purify with another item. All the items u purefy it with, is dropped by a HNM (Hyper Notorius Monster). The different parts need the different item to get purefied.

see more about abujation at this page:
