Adds Support Job Abilities to your Wyvern

  • Will give your Wyvern the native job traits of your current sub job.

    • In order for the traits to be added to the Wyvern, it must be called out with the Wyrm Mail equipped or zoning to a different area with the Wyvern out while the Wyrm Mail is equipped.

    • Due to currently having no native job traits (but capable of creating job traits based on spells equipped), subbing Blue Mage will not result in any job traits being transferred over.

Passive ability?

OMG that's awesome, a Wyvern with increased spell defense, and Auto-Regen!

Can you post a screen shot of that? Not that I care about drg, but it'll clear up confusion.

You have to know DOOOOM to understand just how worthless a member of society he is. He likes to troll on the Drg forum, apparently he likes to take his trash talk everywhere. DOOOOM, go doom yourself, for all of us plz. The boards would be better without your posts.
Abilities, Traits, or Both?

I find DOOOOM's post highly suspect, but I'm willing to be open-minded about the whole thing.

My question, however, is whether or not the wyvern gets the SJ's traits, as well, or simply the abilities. For example, since the AF2 doesn't have any sort of Auto-Regen for the wyvern, would a Drg/Whm have a wyvern that has it? Or would a Drg/War have a wyvern that sometimes uses Double Attack?

Summoning?
# Jul 26 2004 at 6:22 AM Rating: Excellent
ok, heres a question for you, if ur support job is summoner, does ur wyvern gain the ability to summon?
RE: Summoning?

OK here's the deal. I HAd a 75 DRG named Bomber more or less explain the dynamics of Wyrm Mail. he was japanesae so it was difficult to communicate with him. Well he motioned for me to follow him into rolanberry. He summoned his Wyvern, and his Wyvern used Berserk. Thats right...and he pounded on a Goobbue. I later checked my mail and I saw screen shots of .

Provoke
Berserk
Defender
Aggressor
War Cry

Doom, your post is highly suspicious. Aggressor is a lvl 45 warrior skill. how can a WAr SJ capped at 37 gives a lvl 45 skill to a wyvern.

i wonder what the "adds suport job abilites to wyvern" is all about ... would it only add the passive abilbites too? or does it work w/ the active abilites... I'd like to see Hien to a little Sneak Attacking of his own ... so many questions ... so few answers

Final Fantasy Tactics dragoons were grey in color with a slight purple tinge. However, I'd prefer purple over grey anyway, as grey's pretty... dull.

The AF2 is still purple, but certainly on the indigo side while AF is pretty much straight purple. DRG AF2 is the coolest looking equipment in the game, imo
Resist Blind

the "Enhances Resist Blind" stat works as follows:
If you already have Resist Blind, it simply makes it resist more often, thus enhancing the effect. If you DON'T have Resist Blind already, it gives you the ability, although it doesn't appear in your list. This has been tested with the Enhances "_____ Killer" effects with people who don't normally get them, it gives it to them, works the same way with all of them.
confused???

What if the Wyvern has Resist Blind and it enhances ITS Resist Blind. Just noticing that most of the DRG armor ups the skills of the Wyvern...what if that is what the "Enhances Resist Blind" is for?

Since when did Dragoons have a "Resist Blind" job trait? Last I checked, all we had was "Dragon Killer," "Attack Bonus," and "Accuracy Bonus."

So ... what, would I need to sub a job that has "Resist Blind?" Well, that's silly. Enhancing an effect I'd get just from a subjob.

The +resist blind could be for subjob purposes,
I.E. If your subjob has resist blind, then that peice of eq will boost up that resistance.

Maybe it gives us the ability of resist blind if we're subbing Warrior, and enhances if subbing Samurai?
RE: Uhm ...

Um No.. Lets see
Enhance = to make greater or better, to raise; to increase, To add or clarify the usefulness of an existing product

Nothing Says to add an ability that does not exist. Enhance "Resist Blind" is for those DRG that sub SAM.

You said it yourself, though you seem to have misunderstood your own quote. "To add.. the usefulness of an existing product" Not to "add to the usefulness..".

In my opinion this actually means to add the product even if it does not already exist, and if it does already exist, to enhance it. Thus, even a DRG with WAR sub can recieve the "Resist Blind" effect. Perhaps however, if the trait already exists (i.e. with a SAM sub) then the effect will be enhanced further and become more useful than with a WAR sub?

Obviously I can't be certain, but from what I have read I think this is true.

Many items listed on this site say enhance and many people have verified that enhance also adds the ability if you dont have it.

My guess is it allows the wyvern to utilize your subjobs passive ability traits. I have noticed while soloing that my wyvern actually uses the DRG main traits but not the subjob.
