Fashion shot
# Feb 07 2008 at 10:58 AM Rating: Good
If I do actually manage to get the Attestation and then acquire this I will do my best to capture a screen and submit a fashion shot. I find it strange that all the other forms (whish is not big deal for the first 3 stages) have a fashion shot including Ragnarok, but not Valhalla, from the icon it seems to be different both from the first 3 stages as well as from Ragnarok. So assuming by then someone hasn't already added one, I'll see what I can do about it personally.
Upgrade time from Dynamis Blade to Valhalla
# Feb 07 2008 at 8:13 AM Rating: Good
As a quick addition, the required time after trading in the byne bills, attestation of righteousness and the Dynamis Blade is 82 hours. An odd time to be sure, but that is indeed what it is.
So close, yet so far
# Feb 06 2008 at 12:22 PM Rating: Good
I'm SO close to getting Valhalla.... and yet so far XD. I'm 60/61 100 Byne Bills towards this upgrade. However, since I'm currently in Iraq and have a connection that isn't good enough to do Dynamis at the moment... well you get the picture. I still need the Attestation of Righteousness for this, and of course the last 100 byne bill. I've got a good 5 and a half months left over here though, so alas it looks as though it's still going to be a while before I aquire this. I"ll attempt to start collecting the silverpieces for Ragnarock in the mean time I suppose.

I shall now educate you young grass hoppas, on the meaning of this sacred blade's name.

It is derived from Norse mythology. When a warrior died in battle, he was transported to Vallhalla, the court of Odin. In this place, you fought all day, and then at night, your wounds were healed and you feasted on mead and pork and tended by Odin's atendants, the Valkyries.

Wow, you aren't a big fan of other FF games, are you?

Final Fantasy, among other RPGs, is famous for loading a bunch of stuff from various mythologies into their game. Names of the summon spells, for example:

Shiva: One of Hinduism's main gods, in the same tier as Brahma and Vishnu. Out of the three, Shiva is considered 'the destroyer', though in a positive light (destruction ultimately leads to new creation).

Here's the twist; despite Shiva's appearance in the FF series, this particular deity is actually male. o_0

Ifrit: In Arabic mythology, an ifrit (also known as an efreet) is a Jinn (think genie-type spirit, minus the wish-granting) that embodies fire. Bit of a superiority complex.

Fenrir: A creature in Norse mythology. Bound by the gods, but constantly growing, it is said that, when Fenrir grows too large to be contained by even the gods and devours Odin, this will begin Ragnarok (sound familiar?), which is basically the Norse version of the end of the world.

I could go on, but I feel my point is made.

Efreets do grant wishes occasionally, though not in the ways popularised by Alladin etc.

Yes, this gets upgraded into the Ragnarok. And those are the only two weapons in existence that have Scourge udner any conditions...
