Dynamis WS Pts.
# May 06 2007 at 12:46 AM Rating: Decent
I don't see this mentioned here, but I just learned (since I needed 357 points to break it [and I got 57 points in Dynamis tonight]) that you cannot use your weapon and expect to gain points for it in Dynamis. They will not count at all, sadly.

Ok, i got my club, i've been closing light skillchains and i counted i've done about 80 ws's on Skill chains (Mnk did Dragon kick > Hexa Strick for Light Skill chain).. still unbroken.. am i just missing something?

what about WS that dont do dmg, like starlight?
it actualy targets your self, found this out when i made the macro. i had to put <me> in the macro for it to work.... so does this burn off points too? i have been soloing robber cab in kufal as war/whm lol and the mp from starlight i never have to rest ^^b

Edit: i just got done soloing 300 WS points using starlight, so i guess i answered my own question, it does work.

does it matter if you go /nin to build tp faster or do you have to have a shield equiped
now to unlock this

the best way to unlock it fast is to find a friend that can start a Light chain for you ( one that you can close with Hexa Strike ) and go kill mobs like Robber crabs in Kuftal Tunnel..

If we count that you do only one skillchain / mob, (because your friend will maybe want to do one if he has to unlock a weapon too and EP crabs usually wont live for a 3rd) you can do like 50~100 points / hour if you kill a crab every ~5min and never stop to kill. (with a thf/nin or mnk/nin as buddy it would be easy)

I would recommend to sub THF (as whm yeah) to TA Hexa Strike unless you sub nin and want to tank (because the mob will be pissed at you for a moment following the Skillchain). Those crab dont hit hard but you would have to use mps and then there will be downtime and you dont want that rightaru? (and there are sometimes Decent challenge Wind Elementals that will gladly aggro you if you use magic).

thats the fast way but now lets imagine you dont have a friend that accepts to spend 3h+ with you.

===============================================]

There is a slower, but fun mean to unlock you club, and its in Boyahda Tree..
I recquire to sub thf if you want more than XP and WS points.
You are alone this time, so no need to have friend ^^.

You enter the Tree and you see.. A Bark Spider. The good thing with them is that they still are EP at lvl 71 and drop Spider webs. You can also Steal the webs and fight is long enough to try 2 times to Steal it.
I get 1 webs out of 2 Spider with Steal/drops (maybe i'm just extraordinary lucky but well.. thats what i get usually).
You use 3-4 Hexa Strike to put them down and you have to rest a bit after killing one because you have to keep Stoneskin/Blink up the whole fight.. (paralyse slow too eventarually) Sickle Slash can hurt so be careful ^^ (even more if you are a taru like me).

So lets say you kill 5 Spider / hour thats not too much you can do more if you are skilled/nicely equiped for melee fight.

You get 25xp / Spider btw ^^

So finally you get about:

• 2,500 xp
• 500,000g in Webs
• a nicey-wicey unlocked club!

Ok it will take you ~20-25h if you only do that but it can be great to do that while waiting for a Skillup party to show up (you know that the Boyahda tree host some of them everyday) and join them hoping they'll let you end a light chain on Steelshells (wich will do crappy dmg anyway if you are a whm 71 and end it so dont let them argue that they dont want skillchain to keep the mob alive longer ^^).
the good point about joining an allready formed skillup party is that you wont be the only mage that can Cure, because they will have one allready.. so you wont end up Curing everyone because hate is everywhere (and finally on you because nobody is doing dmgs and you do cure alot of HPs) and rest most of the time to get mps back and never get enough tp to throw a WS to the mob.

Well.. i hope this will help you to find the better way for you to unlock your club!

Now have fun with the the big pot in Ro'Maeve :/

The NM (Eldhrimnir - Magic Pot) for Black Halo is VERY resistant to magic (and it hits very hard). Over 80% of spells were outright resisted by 2 level 74 Blm's with capped elemental skills (and elemental torques). Plan accordingly.
