In case your interested this is how we have been doing garrison for our ls for few years now. Garrison is great fun and the drops are good for the mid level players, but we also do 50&75 ones.

We go a little overboard on our setup cause we have like 30 peeps show up each time. There has been few linkshells made since garrison started just to do these events and it seems to work good.

can i solo this. i dont know what a garison is =(
but i get that you have to give it to the NPCs when your nation is in controle of Qufim. im a level 30war/15monk. please help me out.

as far as I know a garrison requires a party or an alliance of players becuase the mobs that are fought not easy. if the garrison is lvl20 then the mobs are probably lvl20 and their are 3 or 4 waves of them that come at you. a person trying to solo this would end up dieing rather quickly more than likely.

garrison is most profitable with more people that each have the items and for several matches. the number or people / parties determines the number on mobs that the person(s) and NPCs defend against. So a full alliance will have more NPCs as well as more mobs to fight ( more mobs means more drops[also means more people to divide the loot among]) The user trading the garrison item can only do it once per day so it is best if everyong doing the garrison has the item. The rewards are greater if there is few or no NPC deaths. soloing is not recommended.

I got this item killing giants in Lower Delkfutt's Tower and I'm only lvl 24 right now. Does that mean I can't do anything with it until lvl 30?

So let me get this question out there since I'm not 100% familiar with Garrison. When you say that "Your country must control the reigon" you of course mean that the person who turns the item in must have control of that reigon, correct? Because the party we have put together consists of people from all over the place. And also, if the cap on this is 30...Thief will finally be super useful in a Garrison. ^_^

Sorry but if you are thinking a thf will finally be able to do a sata, you are mistaken. If you have ever been in a garrison then you know the massive amounts of lag and confusion that it brings. A successful sata hit is all but impossible (trust me, I have tried.....). Even if you could finally set it up and hit one, in my experience, a thf is far more valuable as a kiter in garrison. War/nin or nin/war is better, but I have also had plenty of success kiting as a thf in lvl 20 and 30 garrisons.

Good luck and if anyone ever needs a garrison partner on Fairy, send me a tell. I do them often and always have a darksteel engraving in my mh and usually a garrison item for Qufim and Norvallen as well. Main char is Lausus (Bastokian). And second char is Sylvanspirit (Windurstian). Check out my profile to see my jobs and lvls, but realize that they may be a little outdated... :p

Your nation needs to be in control of the region. And in the case of Qufim, just look around for a couple NPCs standing next to each other, possibly around the tower.

I got one of these a couple weeks ago and have been waiting to use it. Bastok just became first in the conquest and got Qufim too. Hurray for Bastok!

I just got one of these today while I was leveling in Qufim. Here's a few qustions.

a) Can I do the garrison if my nation doesn't control Qufim? beause I'm Bastokian and we suck in the conquest campaign.

b) Where is the Qufim outpost? I was under the impession that you could only do garrison at an outpost, in Qufim there are just two places with a banner. There isn't a big wooden building or a red square on the map that marks the spot.

I don't know for sure but judgeing by the description on it it sounds like the other items used in different areas garrison quests. Forgive me as I don't have the item here in front of me but it says something to the nature of "This was used durring the great war to signal attacks"

I just wonder what the level cap is for this quest. I may have to try it and report back.

Thanks now another question that hasn't popped up before becouse the garrison quests have always been in an area that your nation was sure to control, Can you do this quest if your nation doesn't control qufim? I think at the moment the beastmen control qufim on shiva so I may not be able to see until after sunday when hopefully one of our nations will get it.

You cannot do them when they're beastmen control because the outpost will have the beastman's flag on the pole and there will be no NPCs at the outpost. You trade the Missive to the Outpost NPC to initiate Garrison. If theres no NPC there, you cant trade the item, and therefore cannot initiate Garrison.

I got one shortly after the last patch while killing giants during the day time whilst waiting for wights to pop at night to farm a tractor scroll. I asked my LS about it and they said it was for garrison in Qufim so I quickly dropped it since I have never done garrison and if I did I probably wouldn't try it in that retched place.
