Napalms, too!?

I came to look at the update for Galka Fang Sacks and saw that Napalms are listed as droppers. I find myself...skeptical. Why would a mob that has nothing to do with a beastman invasion drop the item that triggers it?

Every time I've gone farming for the Galka Fang Sack, I pop into the Napalm room and kill them on the off chance that a flame degen will drop. Plenty of kills, a few degens, but never a Garrison trigger item.
Don't need a full alliance

You don't need a full alliance to do a garrison. We just completed it with 8 people 3 times tonight. It scales up from 6 people to more.

This is the item needed to do Valkurm Dunes Garrison, also Furriers, Pathfinders, Smithies and Shamans drop this item in Ordelle's Caves

For Garrisons, you must have an alliance, and they are level capped. The level cap for this particular garrison would be 30. Your home nation must be in control of the area (Zulkheim, in this case). When you trade the item, your alliance recieves the level cap and a number of NPC fighters (around 10-12) appear. A wave of beastmen will start to attack, and you must defeat them. The NPCs will help, but you must make sure that they stay alive. The more you have alive at the end, the more money and rewards you get. If all NPCs die, the Garrison ends and you get no reward other than the drops you got while fighting (which are typically mannequin legs and feet). A few seconds after you defeat the first wave, a second wave will attack. After this wave is defeated, a third wave will appear. It's been a few weeks since I've done one of these, so I can't remember whether this was the last wave or if there is one more. Regardless, in the last wave, there will be an NM as well, in this case, Goblin Swindler (a THF type). When this final wave is defeated and the person who traded the item to the outpost guard talks to the guard again, the level cap will be removed from your alliance, the NPCs will disappear, and everyone will recieve some gil (around 3000 or so for each person in an 18-person alliance if all NPCs are kept alive). In addition, several pieces of equipment will be added to your treasure pool, along with a couple pages of Dragon Chronicles. For level 30 Garrisons such as this one, equipment dropped includes Military Spear, Military Gun, Military Pick, Military Axe, and Military Harp.

It should be noted that these events take place at the outposts... and as Valkurm Dunes is full of low-level players leveling, and often camping AT the outpost, it can be quite difficult to arrange one here. Kolshushu (Buburimu Pennisula) is usually a much better choice, and the Garrison there is nearly identical to this one.

Mithra fangs, Galka fangs. Notic a pattern? Both have tails, both have fangs, however, one is fat. Not quite as funny as mithra fangs, though.

To just clarify, since the monster location shows multiple spawn area for this mob...

The Sack of Galka Fangs only drops from Furriers in Ordelle's Caves.

I mean, that would be obvious I think. Who is the real controler of Zulkheim?

to prove:
A) Assuming Ronfaure was in control by beastmen, how could you trade an item to the outpost?
B) Areas like Zulkheim dont really have a true owner. Who would control it? Bastok? San d'Oria?
RE: Yes
# Jul 26 2004 at 9:57 AM Rating: Decent
Its whoever currently has control of the region. If San d'Oria controls Zulkheim, than San d'Orians can trade the item to the OP; if Bastok control, they can..etc.
I've personally never seen Ronfaure under Beastmen control, probably because of all the level 10s and below over crowding the zones.
Allegiance?

So I'm guessing that the person who trades this item to the Zulkheim garrison has to be of the same allegience of whatever nation controls Zulkheim? That would make sense to me, I just want confirmation, since the new garrisons are in zones that change hands often.
