Confirmed points carry over year to year as long as you dont throw away your bowl. I saved the 2007 bowel and now 2008 and when equiped I had all my extra points from last year.

You really shouldn't be holding on to your bowels for that long. *huge grin* Sorry, had to do it.

What I hate is, sure the fishbowl is level 10 woodworking, but the glass for example, is obviously NOT level 10 alchemy. Not only that, the Silica needed to make it (6 of them, by the way) is only a DROP!!!!!! so far I haven't found any other source for it. This is quite unfair.
I think S-E have a perverted way of implementing items into the game.

fish die?
# Jul 23 2005 at 11:58 PM Rating: Decent
Does anyone know how long it can be before your fish die? Because at the moment on my server, some of the ingredients such as the putty and glass sheet, are very expensive. I know they will go down eventually, but i was wondering how long i can hold out untill my goldfish bite the dust.

I also just got that recipe from the woodworking guild, from the person who "makes too many mistakes". Im 62 wood, so would that make the recipe lower than 62 wood?

Edit Note: Leaumonde, when i received the recipe, x1 Lauan Lumber was also part of the ingredients. Could you have missed it?

Definitely missed it, my bad. Otherwise there wouldn't be any real point to the whole woodworking thing now, would it X>;;

it might be a really low level synth, like lvl 1 or something.

I got a goldfish set and didn't know what to do with it.. so i thought maybe if i try to get another ("other mystery box item") i'd get something different on second try, but i got the same thing... so now i'm stuck with 2 goldfish sets taking Space and are EX items so what do i do with them? prolly end up throwing them away because I doubt i'll level 3 crafts just to get an item that no one knows what it does O.o
(I got 160 points by buying fish from AH and gettin some myself.. so i didn't really waste time :P )

I received the recipe for this over by the Wood-working guild just the other day. Perhaps SE has implemented further use for this item, considering it consists of rather hard to get ingredients?

1x Light crystal
1x Lauan Lumber
1x Bronze ingot
1x Crawler calculus
1x Bottle of Seiglinde putty
1x Glass sheet
1x Goldfish set
1x Tiny goldfish
1x Black bubble-eye

You will apparently need both Wood-working, Alchemy and Blacksmithing to make it. Afraid I have no levels for those though.

Edit note: Added the Lumber. Thank you Coffe and Apples.

which NPC did you get it from? you may be able to determine if it's below your woodworking skill or above. And what is your woodworking skill at now?
RE: Recipe
# Jul 21 2005 at 9:03 PM Rating: Decent
That recipe that you have is not for this goldfish bowel item. The recipe you received is for the "Goldfish Bowl" fish tank furniture item for your MH.
RE: Recipe
# Jul 22 2005 at 3:57 PM Rating: Decent
looks more like the freshwater tank than the goldfish bowl. unless there is more than one goldfish bowl. goldfish bowl as far as I know is used in goldfish scooping contest and is rare ex ranged item rather than furniture. And I hope we not making goldfish bowels cause that just sounds sick.
really good scooping
# Aug 06 2004 at 8:31 AM Rating: Decent
Long story short, I gt one stack, earned over 100 points, and I still have 2 of the original scoops.

btw, is there any point to this other than that it fills the ranged spot? I mean, the goldfish go in your inventory, not the bowl...

I think so, yes. It doesn't look like something that would be temporary, but hey, with square, you never know. ^.~
good scooping
# Aug 04 2004 at 9:08 PM Rating: Decent
I went to Knightswell in W Ronfarue, donned my Lady's Yukata and bought a stack of Super Scoopers for 1200g. It took about an hour and a half to break all the scoopers and in that time I pulled about 35 tiny goldfish, 8 black bubble-eyes and 3 loinheads. That worked out to exactly 60 years of fortune, so I bought 2 drops - got a green one and a black one.

Altogether a pleasant experience except for the NPC going on and on about becoming one with our aquan brothers... yeesh.

# Aug 05 2004 at 8:51 AM Rating: Decent
Where do you get this bowl from, I want it cuz you need this bowl to use the super scoopers right?

You get the bowl by asking the NPC for a bowl. I don't think it cost anything, and she (the one in Rabao) gave it to me... free.. or whatever.. something.. doesn't matter.
