It's a shame you can't HQ the synth for a RRIII gorget.

Like the guy said earlier, it's a skill cap 82 at least. Been skilling off these since 75 or so, currently 81. Got a skill up after getting 81, so yeah... at least 82 cap on this. Same for the pin I'm guessing.

I'm assuming you cannot recharge this. Is that correct since somebody mentioned something about desynthesising it?

Skillcap is 82.

took 24 synths to get the last 0.5 I needed to hit 82, then 0 skillups in the next 12 I did (on iceday)

I did this synth from 79 to 82, and made money off of it, which was nice

I've been skilling up by synthing these things since lvl 71 Bonecraft. Now I'm skill 80 and I am still getting skill from them, so I believe the cap is 81.

Yup, I got a .1 to hit 80.0, then my next synth was another .1 so cap is most definitely not 80.

This Gorget gives you the effect of Reraise II for 2 hours. You do NOT have to keep the Gorget on in equip to keep the Reraise II effect active. You can, however, "click it off". So be careful if reapplying Stoneskin, Utsusemi, etc.

This stays a Reraise Groget once it's used up. It still shows the delay details and such. Nothing really left to use it for except sell it to NPC for a little over 3K.

Item description was also changed in recent patch to inform people that this is RR2,not RR1.

you could attempt to give the "empty" gorget (0 charges) to a high lv bonecrafter, and try to desynth it. Vivified coral is approx 30k to make and the gorget is about 20-25k.

Im on Fairy and a 79(and counting) bonecrafter.
Ill be glad to buy you're empty's from you OR whatever.

How about you try using this before you jump to the answer? I used this piece of equipment, then swapped my neck piece. BAM, stil have Reraise II on.

Confirmed, you do keep Reraise after using this item then switching to another neck peice even immediately after.
Raise II ?!

I read something somewhere (thats what made me look up this item) about how wearing this item and having Raise cast on you will give you the effect of Raise II. That would make this Item Priceless to a Beastmaster, And already is Very useful to a beastmaster who solos' the entire game,

Now this Intrests me because im a Beastmaster, level 55 At the moment so I cant wear it yet, However, In a duo we do not have access to Raise II very often unless there Happens to be a party beside us, which is also very rare, So we typically only have access to raise from eachother with level 25+ WHM Sub, and Rasie II makes a HUGE difference after level 50,

Basically my question is, Does anyone have any information on this particular "Fact" or "Rumor", IE, if it is true, Would i have to have "Reraise" effect from the gorget on myself, then have raise cast on me to "Stack" on top of the reraise effect in order to get the Raise II effect, Or would it be "Have raise cast on you while Wearing the raise gorget", OR, is it just complete BS in general?

Anyone who has investigated this matter or who has any facts about this very questionable information would certainy receive a rate up ^^ Thanks! :)

This is an excellent item when AF coffer hunting. Sure, THF can use Perfect Dodge -> Instant Warp [ or warp cludgel], but for the rest of us, this is a godsend if you oooops.

Could also be handy when mining in Ifrits or in just about any other occasion where you are depending on sneak/invisible to keep you alive.

I am not sure if Re-raise stacks with the Mogenhancement: Experience or not.

No it does not. ; ; Just like a normal raise spell, you accualy half to homepoint to get the Mogenhancement: Experience.

I'm not sure how this device works. As I understand it, the device comes with a limited number of reraise charges. Does the charge only expend when you die or at some other time?

If it is at some other time, when
- would this time be and
- how would one know when it occur or
- how to activiate it?

This works like the Reraise Potion, Scroll, or Spell. Basically you use the item (up to once every 2 mins for a total of 10 charges, with a 30 second activation time from being equipt) and gain the Reraise status. I don't know the specifics of how long it lasts, but I believe it is 2 hours. Stats for Reraise are simple, each version of reraise has the same effect as Raise (so reraise II = Raise II, and reraise III = Raise III). Now basically what this means is that when you die you get 1 (count them 1) chance to be raised automagically. So, you use reraise, then if you die within the 2 hour alloted time you can choose to be raised without needing outside assistance. If you die twice within a 2 minute period you will not have a chance to reactive the reraiser, therefore will not be able to do it. However, there is a simple way around that, if you die immediately after using it, wait 2 mins. Then raise yourself, and use the reraiser again. Though expensive, this would be good for the Dunes and Qufim where not every party has a white mage...

<removed stupid comment about whm using it... didn't notice the limited job list>

I think what he is trying to point out is...

The only way to use an enchanted piece of equipment is to equip it and wait for the equip delay (In this case, 30 seconds) to hit 0 and then you can use a charge.

I think his big question is "How does a level 12-20 character equip a piece of level 56 equipment, even if only for 30 seconds, to use it?"

Also (re)raise II has the exact same effect on anyone lower than level 50 as Raise I does.

If you're in the Dunes or Qufim just set homepoint closeby. The tiny amount of exp you save at that level by being raised could be regained easily within the time that you're "weakened".

As has been said before, this is a godsend for BSTs!

good stuff....

but one question... is it possible to get this thing recharged??

or must u just.... wear it like it used to be worth something?? after it died..?

oh well we will see... heh
RE: hmmmm
# Oct 02 2004 at 10:11 PM Rating: Default
All charged items revert to the normal item once they're used up. So if it has 10 charges of reraise and you use them all, it will turn into a normal coral gorget. That coral gorget, of course, can be crafted into a new Reraise gorget.

So you can't get them recharged until they are completely empty of charges.
RE: hmmmm
# Oct 03 2004 at 10:22 PM Rating: Decent
wait... correct me if im wrong, but isnt this one used up. If what you say is true then why is it not the original?
RE: hmmmm
# Oct 27 2004 at 6:11 PM Rating: Default
lol the charges come bak aftr the given time thus 0:30 wait that and u have 1 charge bak!!!
RE: hmmmm
# Oct 27 2004 at 11:12 PM Rating: Decent
no... i am pretty sure the :30 is how long you have to wait after equiping to use the enchantment. And the 2:00 is how long you have to wait before recasting.

Any more info on this would be great

Lets say someone uses all 10 charges and decides to sell it on the AH. Surely the buyer will receive the item with 10 charges? Someone said it becomes a normal item once its spent, but the one in the screenshot is empty and still a Reraise Gorget...

If for some reason selling it on the AH recharges it, can't you put it up for 1g and buy it off yourself?

I want to buy this for the accuracy bonus, but there is an item for 30k less that has the same stats minus the enhancement.

Once an enchanted item is used, it may not be placed on the AH. It must have all of its charges to be elligible for listing.

But, if you think about it, it's not entirely limited! The enchanted items can run out of charges, but it seems that you can re-charge them somehow, so once you've burned through all the Re-Raises it offers, you can stock up all over again ^_^
